Description

I built this to use as a home workstation (Business Intelligence / Machine Learning) as well as a light gaming PC. I originally started this build on the Cooler Master C700M case, but finally decided on the simpler Phanteks Evolv X.

I tested a number of the top end GPUs and for my needs the Radeon VII was the best choice (16GB memory for ML) for the price point.

Also upgraded all of the fans to Noctua REDUX 120 and 140s, for performance / sound.

It's nice to see a Radeon VII being used over a 2080 Ti. How are temps on it with the vertical mount?

Surprisingly slightly better (about 7c) then the horizontal mount for this case, also better then both the horizontal and vertical mounts of the Cooler Master C700M. Don't get me wrong this card is still very loud under full load, but under normal load its actually quiet and medium load average noise level.

Very nice. Plenty of cores and room for up to 128 gigs of ram if needed. Thumbs up from me. Enjoy!
