Description

This is my first build that i have ever tried creating. I was hesitant about plug and play my HDD from my old machine into it but it turned out to be perfectly fine. I new have a machine with 2tb of space. The build took me about 2 hours, i was alone and confused when plugging it all up. The games i threw at it seemed to jut get eradicated by the machine. BF4- All maxed out no motion blur no AA, 125Fps max 90FPS Min BO3- All maxed out no AA SOLID 70FPS Rust- All on High/Max Solid 60FPS The Culling- All Maxed out 60-70 FPS CSGO- All Maxed out over 200FPS Minecraft- maxed out, 250-450 FPS Valley-All Max No AA or Motion blur 60-70 FPS Heaven- All Max No AA or Motion blur- 50-60 FPS

Overall for a build that has no after market cooler, it stayed cool in the case i chose. Te case had a pre installed 5 120mm fans and a fan controller (too me a while to find it).

PROS: Runs great, Almost Silent under load, Room for a K Series Chip, Plenty of room inside case

CONS: Took a while to assemble, Heavy, Small Screen glitches here and there (from plug and play i assume) HDD LED is bright and annoying.

SSD should be your next move. Also, if you don't want to get an unlocked chip, some people have had success overclocking locked skylakes with older bios. Asrock mobos seem to be the best for this, as they still provide links to those older bios, but I'm sure with some googling you could find one for your mobo.

+1 for this build though. I see a lot of "budget" builds that cost roughly the same or more than this and they are using athalon, fx or older i5's.

Did you use the HDD from another motherboard? If so, I worry about driver conflicts. Doing a fresh install would be the best thing to avoid possible crashes in the future. Everything looked pretty clean otherwise.

No offense but I would have gotten a used graphics card from reddit hardware swap. For the same price or even lower you could have gotten a 970! If you upgrade think about getting it used I found it very interesting how prices change on used products. I personally think by black friday your graphics card will drop to at least 140 usd. This will kind of suck for you! *This was meant to be informative not mean -If you don't trust used parts just look up nerd on a budget on youtube he is a great example!

Excuse me, noob's here On the list says H170 motherboard, but in the picture u got Z170 A Pro, why did u buy an overclocking motherboard when u use a non-K series, and plus if u can get a Z170 motherboard for less than a 100 bucks let me know :D bc i think it usually worth more than a 100 bucks, and i'm kinda confuse on the storage choice WD blue 1 TB 5400RPM for 75 bucks. I don't know what make it so expensive when u can get a seagate blue 1 TB 7200RPM for 50 bucks, maybe it's because the slim edition ? let me know and i've checked the case, does it have somekinda hard drive cage ? bc i saw it didn't (in the picture on newegg)
