Description

i love my computer its an amazing build works flawlessly and as for two parts i haven't bought well(fans and keyboard) their coming for Christmas. i got this build mostly because of my laptop (got it in 2012) couldn't handle modded minecraft had to reduce the settings a ton to get playable FPS but now with this machine and some free games with the purchase of the r9 290s and origin well i play BF3 SimCity 2013 Just Cause 2 and occasionally stream on twitch (fireofdestruction77) another reason for ditching my laptop (not to mention now with winter coming i don't need a heater in my room) and some other games as well and there are many more i haven't bothered to purchase yet mostly because i don't have a job.(paid for this computer selling 17 shares of stock each @ approx $130) haven't OC'ed yet first build and don't know enough about it need to watch some videos about it on you tube from Linus

their are a couple of things i wish had chosen over my current parts like the 4930 i think it is the 6 core that was out before Haswell-E release, and to have got with a 780Ti ( EDIT:price to performance the r9 290 is better but aesthetics are very important to me with a large window with this corsair 750D) which would have fit my black and green color scheme a bit better but who says a little modding cant change something? (green light strip for a wind force r9 290 anyone?) but either way its the most powerful computer in my house currently and its gonna stay that way eventually ill get a job and go for a caselabs case and do full WC loop with acrylic or copper tubing dunno yet

Wireless Network Adapter

absolute crap, every time i turn off my computer when i turn it back on it wont automatically connect to the network instead i have to troubleshoot the thing and also unplug and re plug it back in, it also feels like it was made very very cheaply the plastic housing feels loose, please choose something better than this piece of garbage.

By the way, have you upgraded to windows 8? It's so much smoother and if you get another program that adds the windows button it helps alot.

na i went back to windows 7 because of the start button i missed it on my laptop and kinda hated the way windows 8 was laid out... never really adapted to it

I would have picked the i7 4790k over the 4770k. The 4790k has a bit better single core performance and is better value.

i didn't do the 4790 due to no green MB's at the time and possible compatibility issues so i didn't risk it ;)

How is your psu handling crossfire r9 290s? I'm planning on crossfiring my setup and have an 850 WATT as well.

has 0 issues at all i actually needed like 751W or something like that but went with this psu because of it being fully modular and gold certification and wiggle room in the future ex: i upgrade MB and processor 4-5 years and need just a little extra wattage or exchanging graphics cards but who knows wattage may drop in the future shrugs

well, i should measure that shouldn't i? they don't get too warm with the windforce cards only in artificial benchmarks have i really warmed up my room to an unacceptable level otherwise not too bad
