Description

BEHOLD! It's another build in a Lian Li O11 DW case.

This is my first ever PC build! I always wanted to experience gaming with a high end PC. I'm 26 years old and I've been using cheap laptops my entire life...struggling to play League of Legends at 30fps T.T. I've been saving up and doing my due diligence in research for almost a year now. It has always been my goal/dream to have a gaming station and I finally did it this summer! The entire setup including the PC, desk, and all the peripherals were all bought and put together in the past couple of months. Summer sales are great! Thank god everything went smoothly.

I know that the Ryzen 3800x is not the best bang for your buck compare to the 3700x. But I bought it before watching the Gamers Nexus video; however, it is still an awesome CPU.

Just a little tip for anyone who want to vertically mount their graphics card in this case. I tried using the Cablemod vertical mount with the Gigabyte RTX 2080 Ti Aorus and it fits fine. However once I mounted it there wasn't enough space at the bottom for the fans. So I switched to the Cooler Master GPU bracket instead, which fits much nicer.

Some of the components are probably overkill (mobo and psu), but I wanted to "future proof" the PC and have some headroom for overclocking and upgrading in the future. Yes the computer is overkill and it's probably more than I'll ever need. But I've been deprived of happiness for too long...TOO LONG! Overall I'm super happy with the results and super proud of myself.

Below are the resources that helped me the most in completing this build. I hope these will prove valuable for any newcomers into the PC building scene:

Great setup, can you link or tell me the names of the parts of the desk?

IKEA Desk

Metal Legs

To keep the desk from sliding, just use any double sided 3M tape, double sided velcro works too.

Nice build! What're your thoughts on the value of those speakers?

Idk about the value, but these are great speakers. They look super nice and sound great. I live in a small apartment and this is more than enough to fill the room. The bass is decent too. It does have the option to connect to a subwoofer if you want. No bluetooth connectivity though. You can also get the Logitech Z623 for about $100 which comes with the subwoofer. I just like the look of these speakers more. If you can get these for $150 or less I think they're worth it.

Great build :) In which slots did you put the ram in? I'm asking cuz my Kraken x62 blocks the first slot on my C7H and I want to upgrade to this x570 board but I don't know if the kraken will block the first slot again

I put my RAM in the second and last slot farthest away from the CPU. So if we go from left to right: A1 A2 B1 B2. I put the RAM in slots A2 and B2. It is usually the recommended slots for 2 sticks.
