Description

Galena is natural mineral form of lead(II) sulfide Solid Well-Rounded under $2000.

Heel is the lower part of a knife just before its edge. Nothing here is bleeding edge, thus the free market sorted out the fancy junk.

Asus P8Z77 Motherboard: I couldn't be happier with this model. The AI SUITE II app is easily used and functional. I've overclocked Galena's Heel for an additional 53% better performance.

CPU Cooler is a little bit of a pain to install, however it and the thermal compound have dramatically decrease overall tempertures.

Storage Seagate Barracuda is slow, but bang for buck cannot be beat.

PSU Xion 700W was (RMA) right now I have 500W without Cross-fire set on Video Card.

Sapphire R9 270X for the price its the most optimal card on the market today. SKYRIM: Ultra High with a 70 fps gameplay. (I only have one running now, so watch out Alien Isolation)

BitFenix 230mm fan is NOT Compatible with this Case Corsair 730T, however I didn't let that stop me installing them either.

Headphones very happy with the sound and placement for surround.

REST of STATs and cable managment coming shortly

+1

However please buy a better power supply. Your unit is scary and it would be a shame if a great build was destroyed by your PSU. Also, why the old i5?

700W coming soon as my RMA is done. Why not an old i5? I've tested it plenty and have yet to need more. Its not like i'm running through millions of line of code.

Why the old i5, when you can get a newer one for the same price? Just wanted to ask.

Confusion points:

  • 24gb of 1333 RAM
  • a 4k monitor with CF 270x
  • xion PSU

RAM, PSU, and video cards come and go. 4k monitor won't need replaced.

That's what I was thinking about the monitor. If you have the money, why not? Rather than buying 2 or 3 monitors in the end constantly upgrading, you just get 1 now. The 4k makes sense. But addressing other things: Ram is expensive right now so futureproofing by buying a bunch is kind of counterproductive since the price will go down eventually. And if ur not using it all then that's money out of pocket for no reason. Plus the low speed. Videocards go through generations like crazy, so it seems to me the wisest thing is to get the most current. spending $400 on old cards is kinda silly when you could get a 970 for the same.

Im pretty baked so I might have rambled a bit. Im gonna give u +1 for soul

24GB of 1333MHz memory? R9 270X Crossfire instead of a more powerful single GPU? 3TB HDD and no SSD? An in depth explanation is needed for these parts. Also be wary of the PSU, I've heard bad things about Xion.

Also a 4k monitor?

Monitor isn't something replaced every few years. you want your system to upgrade to your monitor. my opinion.

I'm not a fan of Xion as of right now either. The R9 270x is a solid card. A more powerful GPU will lose value, the R9 is already lost. (hint: Galena's HEEL) No SSD for the same reason no Wifi: security.

Did you just build this, or is this a build that you have upgraded before?

I highly recommend them. Wired is always over wireless according to packet loss.
