Description

This is a few weeks old, so I won't make a huge write up from it.

For a lengthy write up on this build, check out my Reddit post.

Oh god, looking at your pictures I thought suddenly I acquired a bunch of dead pixels in the center of my monitor!

Nice build! But that 8c idle temp is a little off. Amd temperature sensors aren't the best at idle.

Ah, OK. I was thinking 8c (~50F) sounds a little low for Spring time 70F outside. :p

Edit: That's a scratch on my phone's camera. :(

That is once nice looking mobo! Good choice on the processor, I have the 8150 and I love it.

It's a pretty sweet mobo. Had it for a while until it was handed off to a buddy. My only complaint about that board in particular is the lack of a USB3.0 port. Not a huge deal though, a $10 PCI card works all the same.

How's the motherboard? I'm thinking of a build with that exact motherboard, and was wondering how well it performed/ met your expectations.

Great MOBO! When I got it one of the heatsink had fallen off but I put it back in place and everything is cool! I'm very happy with it though it only 4, 4 pin fan connectors

Good job man! Good price to performance.

Thanks! I searched around for a long time and decided on these parts because of the price/performance.

120GB ssd is that enough? I am planning to get 840 Evo 250GB to put all (or most) Steam games on it + Windows but that would add $50. Is that worth it, anyone?

I personally wouldn't go any lower than 250... 120 fills up so fast.

alright, I figured I own about 25-30 games, so 120 wouldn't cut it

I'm putting almost everything on my 1TB, just Win8 and a few other programs on the 120GB SSD. If you do plan on putting games on the SSD, get a 250GB

Love when people are proud of their work... the pictures show it for sure.

I'm also building a new computer this week, in a Node 304, so that's exciting too! (It's a work computer, no GPU)

It's just the standard black case, with the red LED fans in the front

Did you happen to overclock the cpu any? If so, how fast did you get it? I plan on getting the 8320 and maybe the same mobo
