Description

First time building a PC, mainly using it for gaming. I got tired of gaming laptop and decided to switch to PC gaming. No regards there after few months of changes, pc gaming is just so much better than laptops while keeping the cost low.

Most of the time I play BattleField 1, and looking forward to Battleground! Play some Overwatch and some AAA titles. Actually pretty excited for Destiny 2 :D.

BF1: 60-90 fps ultra settings, I believe it can break >90s but I am using a 60hz monitor.

Overwatch: 90-120 Highest settings. No problem there!

Haven't get a chance to play too many games yet, but I am too lazy to benchmark them anyways lol. Feel free to ask me any question!

Part Reviews

CPU

Getting its job done, good temp control.

Motherboard

Easy installation. Hope it does support Dolby audio but w.e

Storage

Fast boots time, read and write time!

Video Card

Cant complain with this card, simply a beast!

Case

Great case, plenty of space to install and easy installation! Came with 2 pre-installed BLUE LED fans, I love it. Good airflow.

I considered this case once for the build I did back in March, but it was too big. very nice budget build though.

Thanks! Ya the case is kinda big lol

Do you have any HDD to be used as storage there? 120GB SSD is quite limiting, BF1, Overwatch and windows probably take half of that already, and you definitely want to leave some space to avoid write multiplication.

On top of that, if this is a recent build, a crucial MX300 would have been better.

Consumer SSD's don't really matter too much, they're all decently fast and do the same thing. a simple 49 dollar 120gb ssd does fine.

Planemaster 1 point 14 months ago

Not taking account the endurance. For example, endurance below 75 TBW is considered low quality as the SSD is liable to break easily. Low TBW also shows that the company doesn't trust them.

Ya I am using a 2TB WD Green which I used as server before but I forgot to put it into the part list lol.

drogo 2 points 14 months ago

You're going to want a WD blue sometime soon, for the price it's an easy upgrade. Why did you choose 16GB of ram, most budget builds only have 8.

hensonoftofu submitter 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

I have a 2TB WD Green. I chosen 16gb for longevity and future upgrade.

drogo 2 points 14 months ago

Yeah, personally I get the min for ram first and use the money to upgrade something expensive (like the gpu) and upgrade ram later.

Nice Build, I would've gotten a 7500 and a b250m mobo for better price and peformance, but still a great system.

hensonoftofu submitter 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

Thanks! And I did look into that, but the budget just doesn't allow me lol

platinumduck 2 points 14 months ago

For me it's £10 cheaper but I guess thats just my country being weird

hensonoftofu submitter 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

Ya, its about $50 more here lol

platinumduck 1 point 14 months ago
