Description

My OCD kicked in and I spent A LOT of money! I haven't pushed the CPU completely yet. Taking baby steps. This is all new to me, and I don't want to fry my investment right at the get go. And I know, I went overboard on the ram, But I use RAM DISK, I went overboard on the PSU (but you never know when you'll upgrade something). I should have gotten better video cards, but at the time money was the issue. My neighbor started this build for me in exchange for some work, (hence the MOBO, and processor). I took it over after I saw that wasn't EXACTLY what I wanted. SO, it's been a work in progress, and some things will still be changed out in due time. I can use a lot of this in a spare system for my wife. But it was a start. And I've learned a lot in the meantime. But all in all it's a nice rig. IDC who you are.

BF4 works AWESOME! I'm gonna try Skyrim, and see how that does. I did Valley stress test,Heaven, it did great,3d Mark it did great! GPU never went above 60 C., and it did great! I got a good score on all stress testers. Not like some of these rig snobs maybe, but it did good! BF4 does'nt stutter or shimmy at 1920...... I'm happy with my rig!Fast as hell and with the new monitor and second card,(I havent OC'd anything yet on the GPU) I'm happy. I'm a first time builder, and I know my mistakes now, but all in all. it's a cool machine.

Thats awesome! Love that blue too! Did you just tape off the areas and spray regular spray paint? Thanks

How's the Noctua nh-d15? Do you regret getting it? And is it THAT ugly like everybody says?

I am all new to this rig building, sometimes I picked things, just out of the Blue. Some parts ( Like the 2 HHD's, I had from previuos computers). Me bieng a novice at this, what would you condider strange? I've gotten a lot of compliments on my system from other forums. (just asking....... I'm learning as I go). Also bugdet had a lot to do with it. I'm 53 yrs. old, and didn't have Mom and Dad's credit cards to squander. Really, my only regret is the CPU, and video card selection.(waiting on 2nd card to come by Friday or Monday so that I can crossfire the 2). But after I ordered them, it was too late. And I hate sending things back.

-The dual R9 270x especially considering you could of gotten a way more powerful single 970.

-32GB of ram, why? I understand if you do ram intensive programs but if this is only going to be used for gaming 8GB would of been fine.

-1200w power supply is too overkill

But I love that blue/black Air 540 on the other hand

I know on the video card, and I know on the ram, and I know on the PSU. But sometimes more is better.
