Description

My first build was a complete success! I was having such a good time building that I forgot to stress out. Until cable management, that is. First, I couldn't get the CPU power cable to reach the plug. A couple seconds after I finally got that hooked up, I realized that I was about to put electricity into my creation, which I thought was crazy at the time. I plugged it in, and was overjoyed to see it boot up on the first try! I have been gaming quite a bit with this computer, and my only disappointment thus far has been turning the settings in Far Cry 3 down to medium. Every other game I have played (TF2, Bioshock Infinite, Just Cause 2, Skyrim) has run at well over 60 FPS on all maximum settings. Compile times in VC++ are so quick with the 4670k, even in my project with 30+ files and 6000 lines of code. Overall, I love this computer and had a ton of fun building it! I will be getting a better mouse, keyboard, and speakers soon, but the computer itself is perfect for the time being.

Edit> I redid some of the cables to make them look nicer, and will upload pictures soon.

Edit> Worked on the cables a bit more. Any suggestions? I will be adding some more fans soon, and getting an extension for the CPU power cable.

Edit> 8-pin extension added, along with a few more 140mm fans. I will be adding two more 140's to the side panel before I start OC'ing my GPU. Apart from that, I hope to add another GPU sometime soonish.

Really well! I can play Skyrim, Bioshock Infinite, Just Cause 2, and Portal 2 all at ultra and 1080p at well over 60 FPS. I love this card, especially at the price!

How's the monitor? Was considering purchasing it but I'm suspicious of the price.
