Description

This was my first build ever!

So far I couldn't be happier with the performance of this system in game. I'm awaiting to see how BF4 tears it apart.

Just a note for the CM 212 EVO the fan goes on the other side I just moved it while plugging in wires cause my hands are big.

The motherboard works great but I think some ports could have been better arranged. PSU has some pretty short cables that come with otherwise works great. I love how the galaxy case looks that's why I got it period but I had to be creative about wire management.

I do pretty well with temps not overclocking, I hold about 35-45 degrees Celsius while in game with multi-tasking in other windows.

My biggest complaints are windows problems not the hardware.

Good looking build man. I really like all of your part selection. The only thing I would say is go back and work on your cable management. It won't take you long to do it. I didn't do the best at my cable management either at first but I just went back and re did mine this past weekend so I will be posting the new pics soon. Took like 20 mins at the most. All in all great build man. I really like it. Good job

Same here. Built my first PC two weeks ago but my cable management was rather bad. People pointed it out and I went back to improve it last week. I am really glad I did. You can look up my build to see the "before/after" difference if you want to, I've left the pictures for people to be able to compare :)

Nice build nevertheless, congrats on your first!

Good job with your build.

You might want to tidy up those cables a bit, to improve airflow and make it look a lot neater. If it were me, I probably would have spent less money on the PSU/CPU (8320 perhaps), and bought a 7950 instead.

i think you listed the wrong MB....you have the extreme 4. I was looking at getting the extreme 3 so i know its all black. Awesome deal on the GPU, couldnt have done any better with the budget in my opinion

Flip your psu. Right now it's just taking air from inside the case which is definitely hotter than the air outside, plus it's stealing air from your gpu. Personally I'm a bit paranoid about The hive series since I had one and I had problems like crashing when waking up from sleep mode.

Not sure why you think the CM212 is backwards...thats how i have mine

definitely not bad, although you should take some time to re-route those cables a little neater. when cleaned up, see how fast you can push the CPU.

also, you have listed the ASRock Extreme3 motherboard, but your pictures actually show the Extreme4.

That last pick made me spit out my coffee involuntary !

  • I should go buy that GPU in the States , that card is 220-250 in Canada .

  • Nice price range and part selection ! +1

  • Also your title says 4gb , I'm assuming that's your ram and have 8gb listed.

Is the MOBO equivalent to more expensive motherboards? (Does it have a lot of handy features?)
