Description

I was eager to get a functioning PC after selling my first rig, went the cheaper route with the CPU/MoBo and using an old 560ti, waiting for the arrival of Zen CPUs then I'll be swapping out the Mobo, Ram, CPU, and adding the MSI R9 390. Very happy with this build so far, suits my needs fine, using it for Fallout 4 and Swtor currently, nothing too intensive but she serves my purposes well and is a great temporary set up.

I'd personally just wait a bit longer and upgrade to Pascal. I like my 390 but I will definitely be selling it and upgrading.

Good to still see the 560ti still running. Sold mine a few months ago that was sitting in the garage for how many years, it still held its value.

It runs way better than expected that's for sure still a very solid card especially given it's age.

Love that you are upgrading to a 390 soon. Awesome cards! I would recommend replacing the psu when you do though.

750W is overkill for a single 390. My buddy runs a 390X on a similair system and it only pulls 550W from the wall at intensive loads :)

tiny_voices likely said to replace it from a build quality standpoint, and because the CX750M doesn't like high operating temperatures with higher loads. tiny has relatively high standards for what PSU should be used when.

Now I am too.

It can just change from 30c to 40c, without the insides being changed.

You want a psu that never goes abovery 80% use though. Using a 650w psu for a system that pulls 550w is very stupid.

Why's that? I'm excited to upgrade as well, I'm actually surprised how well the 560 is running though.
