My recommendation is to flip your front and top fans the other way. Right now you have the top as intake and the front and back as exhaust, that is not optimal. Optimal airflow path would be front/bottom as intake and back and top as exhaust.
Hmm ok I can try that.....but wouldnt it blow the hot air from the rad in the case then? If I reversed the front? That was my only concern......?
It would be okay. GPU will only be slightly affected by that (+1-2C). But you will have better CPU temps. The comment above is true because of hot air travels up, therefore top exhaust is better than top intake. I have a top rad exhaust and 3 x fans front intake for my build.
That monitor is so expensive but soooo nice
Thanks it is nice indeed, I kinda got lucky on the price, It was listed for 1249 before tax, and since I bought it during boxing week I got to use a 10% discount coupon, plus i got another 8% cashback since i went thru (ebates.ca) they are really reliable and have good discounts time to time......so all in all I ended up paying 1196 CAD including tax!! Still expensive but worth it
The only place you can get the Castle 280 from is places like eBay. They don't sell it in the US. Where did you get yours from?
I live in ontario, canada and I bought it from canadacomputers, amazon.ca sells it not sure if they ship to us
so how are you liking the 2080 Asus Strix?
I love it, and sry but I still cant be fore sure as I havent installed a game to really push the limit......the game I wanna buy is battlefield 5, i should be doing that this week hopefully, once I do and test it out I will repost how I like it.....
Nice build! +1 to the fan orientation suggestion. Also, how are the uphere fans? I keep seeing them on amazon and they seem to offer a good value. Just never see them here on PCPP.
Thankyou, the uphere fans are great to be honest, no complaints so far I can control color and fan speed np! I use rgb fusion to control the colors and gigabyte app center to control fan speed......although I hate rgb fusion app cause it doesnt recognize my other components, like (gpu, mouse, keyboard, etc) it works awesome for for fans.....no problems there......I would recommend these fans for sure.....if I would chose a different fan than this then it would have to be for more CFMs (cubic feet per minute) as compared to these......and they do just fine! My cpu idles at 27 degrees C.....
And also u are right they are not on pcpa, I got them from Amazon and I believe they are 10 dollars cheaper than what I got them for.....i paid 59 they 49 right now.....and they are pretty quite!!
I just wanted to ask, how do you control the fan speed using the gigabyte software?
HEY SRY FOR THE LATE REPLY I WENT TO GIGABYTES WEBSITE AND DOWNLOADED APP CENTER AND THEN INSTALLED THIS APP CALLED SIV AND I CONTROL MY FANS THRU THAT.....
Hi how do you find the Mobo? Thinking of Asus Rog Strix Z390 e but this one seems good. Thanks
It's good, no complaints at all, it is just as good as asus rog strix z390, although I dont like using the rgb fusion app made for gigabyte......if that's a big deal for u, I recommend u buy the asus......if not then I would suggest u save some money and go for gigabyte....
Hi, so the EVGA is a Gigabyte board? I didn’t know that thanks.
No evga and gigabyte are two separate companies I'm sure......dont kno of one owns the other or not.....but my mobo is gigabyte aorus pro wifi 1151
Hi, I like the look of the board but reviews bang on about a horrible bios, has it been an issue for you?
No not at all.....no problems with the bios.....I didnt even have to setup flash drive as a boot file it auto recognized it.......no problems as of yet......works like a charm!!
How long is the tube of the AOI (from CPU to radiator, is not in the specs)?
