This is the second iteration of my very first ground up build. I may have gone a little overboard compared to what I actually need. At this point I use it mainly for gaming. It can run war thunder at max with a 160 fps average and Doom 2016 on high settings.
Moving from my previous (defective) NZXT case to this proved a bit challenging, but less so since I had already worked most of the issues with figuring out where things go with the first case. However, I was completely unfamiliar with a horizontal layout, thankfully this did not present many difficulties.
My biggest issue was brainstorming the proper air flow in such a large case with so much dead space. I finally settled on 4 fans on the bottom with four fans up top and the other half blocked off. (Most of my fans are not in this website database).
To be clear it's on the fan layout its: 2x200 mm front intake 1x140 mm back exhaust 4x120 mm bottom intake 4x120 mm top exhaust
I'm really proud of how this turned out, both aesthetically and performance wise.
I do have plans for the future, as I would like to get a RX 5700 XT and liquid cool my cpu.
I know much of what I've already done and plan to do is a bit over the top. But hey I've been having a lot of fun doing it and get a smile when I see that beast illuminating the room. And isn't that was enthusiast builds are all about?
