Description

This is the little budget build I built for gaming for me and my brother. So far nothing has gone wrong everything worked well. Its been a great experience building it and has been a great little computer so far. Ive played mainly planetside 2 and hawken on it so far and it works great. The moniter i have has 720p res. Its not great but then again i picked it up off a friend for free. I expect to get a better one soon but even this one is better than anything ive played on. Any questions you have you can ask me in the comment section. Oh also if your wondering why the horrible keyboard i have no idea where it came from. Its not even usb. I like it just because its so old and awesome. Sorry for the incomplete and spotty summary but there you go.

Why 1333 ram rather than 1600?

He definitely over paid for the RAM, you could easily get 1600 for that price. He should not notice too much of a drop off in performance due to that speed, but he may be able to overclock it to 1600 with it being hyper-x.

When i first started purchasing the parts which was like 18 months ago i bought one of the hyperx modules. By the time i was almost done assembling the parts it was very hard to find a second stick of ram because i wanted 8 gbs. I seriosly concidered purchasing a 8gb set with speeds of 1600-2400 for around the same price as getting another 1333 4gb hyperx but i found one reasonably priced and got it. The last stick of ram is still in the mail and i get quite good performance without it. I'm not to picky about the speed of ram because no matter what it works well and is waaay better than anything ive ever played on. But i understand your confusion it would have been wiser to wait a while and get a cheaper 8gbs that was also a good bit faster.......this should answer ajpinton's question to.

Very nice budget build i think

how are you liking that MOBO and GPU?

They have both worked well so far. The mobo is sort of high price range for the 970 chipset(its on my list as 90 although if you are patient and wait for a good deal you can get it around 80) and so is good quality and comes with a bunch of features. I haven't used any of the features it has so far just because im to lazy to download them. The gpu is a great video card for the price although it is amd :(. Ive gotten plenty of graphics power to do anything ive played so far(which hasn't been much mostly planetside 2, hawken and stuff.) and although i haven't tried it on 1080p it has worked great.

To small is its size and not enough pixels is its res. :D But hopefully i can find a reasonably priced 1080p monitor soon. lol

lol I actually really like the old keyboard, it has a lot of character. It give that inexplicably awesome feeling when you press one if its chunky dusty keys. And it doesn't seem to have any different performance than any other non-mechanical keyboard.

exactly. why invest in a $120 keyboard when the one you have now works just fine. "If its not broken, dont fix it".

What's the Bloody mouse model? At least I think it's a one of the Bloody mice series?

Yes its one of the bloody series its a V7MA i found it on newegg for $20. The software(auto recoil supression for fps games and macros and stuff) is pretty awesome although not that usefull. Its worked great so far haven't had any problems with it.

Sweet, the one i got was marked down from $90 which is mainly why i got it.(it also look pretty impressive) Like i said a good bit of what you pay for is the insane software that comes with it. The macros are great and the auto recoil suppresion is cool although i havent toyed with it enough to make it work effectively for me:D. One thing i found kinda usefull is the sniper button(it scopes you in and turns down the sensitivity so you get a good shot.) good luck with your mouse :D.
