Description

You can read the story and more details about this build on my blog: https://lambdan.se/blog/2019/07/29/the-louqe-ghost-s1-build/

Some quick notes:

  • The Noctua fan on the Black Ridge is a NF-A12x15

  • "Heat spreaders" on the RAM had to be removed, otherwise they wont't fit.

  • Temps were not satisfying before delidding with LM. After that they're much better, but still pretty toasty. I wouldn't overclock and I recommend manually setting the voltage to 1.20 or lower if possible.

  • Flipping the case makes a huge difference. Highly recommended, especially when you squeeze in a NF-A12x25.

  • Ideally you should have black zip ties, or just have no zip ties at all holding the fan. It's so tight it won't move anyway.

  • 1080 Ti FE gets really loud, even with custom fan curve.

It's the Louque Ghost S1. They do periodic batches and even sell on Amazon. Said next batch would be Q1 2020 so it should be back in stock soon.

Nice build, I'm planning something very similiar. I have one question, would you be able to sqeeze a thin fan-grill on top of the exhaust fan? You know, so that wires won't get in.

this was very helpful. Gonna be building a no-tophat, Ryzen 3600x ghost, and Ima use your same fan configuration

In your blog post, you write that the bottom case fan barely fits. You also mention that you want to get the proper cables (shorter). Did you manage to make the 25mm fan fit using the stock cables that come with the gold SF600?

This guy (bottom comment on the reddit thread) gave up on the 25 and went with a 15mm fan with stock cables, but i dont know what PSU he was using.

Just want to confirm you're using stock SF600 Gold cables

Nice build, do you have a fan on the bottom of the Black Ridge or just the top mounted 120?
