Description

6/11/13 - got a 2nd gtx 660 - ran 3dmark11 this time. No extra OC on either other than the stock ASUS OCs. 3DMark11: X4220 P11002 E14317

3DMark scores: 166878 Ice Storm 19808 Cloud Gate 7151 Fire Strike 3702 Fire Strike Extreme

05/01/13 - Posted a screen of my 3dmark acct with recent results. If you want to see more ie the speeds of components for the tests let me know. This is the first computer i've built for myself since the days of PII when I was in highschool so I'm far behind on whats decent for benchmarks lol.

4/18/13 - after letting win 8 auto-update I got bsod's until windows recovery came up.. reformatted with windows 7, win 8 is not for me apparently, I'm glad cuz I hated it. Will put up new benchmarks for comparison when I get everything re-installed, and this time ill tweak memory, gpu also with the cpu, but I'll do another stock run to compare win 7 with win 8.

4/13/13 - finished build started loading win 8 & most of my programs & games back on. Did a gigabyte auto tuning of the cpu and ran 3Dmark.

Untuned & default @ 3803 Mhz: 125686 - Ice Storm 14823 - Cloud Gate 4324 - Fire Strike

Auto-tuned to 4,325 MHz 156508 - Ice Storm 16553 - Cloud Gate 4431 - Fire Strike

Kills Skyrim with hd texture mods and around 100 content mods at ultra settings, 1920 x 1080.

On ultra in Guild Wars 2 with all the advanced sliders to maxxed, at 1920 x 1080 in just pve mind-you... I was getting 55 fps average.. i expected more but this was before the slight cpu overclock and I haven't started tweaking ram or video card yet.

Started building it late last night (4/9/13) will complete it tonight most likely.

Everything, gaming, web browsing/publishing, movies.

All I have to say is that the case should never be the most expensive part of your build.

Yeah just waiting for the price to drop back down, I picked up my first one for 170 before tax CAD :)

whats wrong with having the most efficient case for airflow, ease of installation, expandability, and longevity. I can build a brand new computer 5 years from now when mine is obsolete, that case will still be top of the line. Not to mention my pc stays super cool and quiet, and no dust gets in. Ive never been over 45C with my processor at 4.5Ghz and overclocking my vid card to 1175 and 7008 mhz memory ive hadnt had it over 50C.

That is not a 3D Mark 11 score. It clearly says cloud gate score.

A GTX 660 will NOT produce those results in a 3dMark 11 test.

I like your motherboard choice though.
