Description

So the story goes... Last year I bought the case because I thought I was going to complete this build sooner. It was on sale and big. Hard times came about in my life where I had to spend money elsewhere. This case moved around the apartment for a whole year, from the desk to the closet, even under the bed. My girlfriend said, "you need to get rid of that case if you're not going to do anything with it." I ended up having a lot of things go right for me all of a sudden, and I decided it was time to go through with it. Armed with the internet, PCPartPicker, and some very lucky deals OHHHH and you guys here.. I ended up happy with what I built. Only regret is I think I became addicted to building computers. And since this was an upgrade from an I7 laptop with a 330m nvidia graphics card I am a little blown away by this build. Wanted A red and black build. Don't know why I ended up going crazy with colors. So onto the part selection...

CPU: Got a deal on amazon where the mobo and cpu totaled about 300 bucks. Couldn't pass it up. Wanted the 4790k but come on the deal.

Cooler: It's liquid and I like it.

Mobo: Wanted red and black, got it in a deal. I like it.

Memory: Went with the red and black. Wanted more Memory so I could use this for more than gaming.

Storage: Good deals. SSD for OS. HDD for everything else. Both work great. Super quiet.

GPU: Probably the part that felt like overnight shipping was too long lol. I love this thing. Mex settings every game. Use it for crysis, Heavily modded skyrim, and tomb raider. Among 200 other games. I was going to go with the MSI 980 4g but it just wouldn't come in stock. And the second newegg got this card I jumped on it(sold out 15 minutes after it came it stock). Love the card very happy with it. <3

Case: On sale and big. Not too bad from the side.

PSU: IDK, just had what I was looking for.

Optical: Cheap, needed for OS.

OS: heard they were gonna discontinue support for windows 7. Went with this. It's alright. It could be better though.

Monitor: Read reviews, sounded good. Sucked with default settings,. Messed around with it, now it's amazing.

TP Link -needed wifi

Fans: This is where it got crazy, wanted to see how red and blue looked. Got the blue fan, then got bored with it and bought a purple one too. Ended up being kinda beautiful. Futuristic even.

Keyboard: wanted mechanical and red l.e.ds. Love this thing. Typng on it right now. Sturdy and accurate.

Mice: Bought the Razer when I was using my laptop, couldn't play CSGO or TF2 on the pad. Then when I was at my buddies house he had the M65 And I liked it when I tried it. Had to 1up him and get the RGB version.

Nothing came DOA it runs super quiet. And after having put all those parts in, and doing the BIOS. It all came together so smoothly. I was intimidated when I was installing the first few parts but now I am ready to build another. I even ended up taking apart my landlords 2 broken computer from 2001 and 2003 and fixing them. Even seeing that they used Cooler Master CPU coolers. Thank you everyone on here for helping me along the way. Wont go back to consoles any time soon. Let's get on to building the next one! All parts bought through, Best Buy, Amazon, and Newegg.

:D yeah, the red was too boring, then adding the blue didn't seem like enough. Threw the purple in there and made the h100i strobe to different colors in a cycle and also having the windforce lit up. The pictures were taken on my galaxy phone, and it couldn't justify how nice they look in person.
