Built mainly for gaming and has thus-far served me very well indeed, with every game I've played being run at ultra settings and never dropping below 40FPS at the worst of times. This is my first full PC build, although I have been repairing PCs for years so I knew the ins and outs of the task.
Some parts were bought after February: including the Cooler, WD Green Drive, GPU and the Keyboard & Mouse. The Seagate and Toshiba drives I got from old PCs, and the DVD drive was a present. The Chassis was bought from a local PC shop. The Lite-On DVD drive is not, in fact, an iHAS124-14 but is in fact an iHAS124-19B, although that was not an option on the part picker.
As for the storage drives each has a different purpose: the Samsung SSD is used for the OS and any programs, the Toshiba drive is only used for Downloads, the WD Green drive is for all of my files and Steam library (speed is not an issue, even with it being a Green drive, surprisingly) and the Seagate drive is a backup drive.
The CPU itself has been overclocked to 4.5 GHz with a cache clock of 4.4 GHz, which has proved to be the most stable configuration with temperatures not exceeding about 65 °C under heavy load in a room about 25 °C.
