Description

General Desktop use (Some fallout 4 and video editing/converting). The build went fairly smooth. I would recommend using angled SATA connectors because the Blu-ray sits over the SATA connectors. It was easier once a took the radiator back out and made everything up and then installed it. The hoses also were blocking the hard drive tray so I had to rotate the radiator 90 degs. After this, I should have rotated the CPU block 90 degs also.

The H60 is relatively quiet once I went into the BIOS and increased rpm to max. At lower rpm, it makes a chattering sound. I set the pump up as Fan 1 and the fan on the radiator as the CPU fan which seems to work well.

The 950 Pro is fast but don't know if it was worth the additional $$ over a 940 Pro. The Thermaltake power supply is fine but it was annoying that the cables were not sheathed. I have owned several of this line and they all were but this one required some tie wraps.

I realize my cable management skills are really lacking. My case does not have the window so no one can tell.

But you can tell. You can see through that case to the cabley internals. Tell me brother, do you despair?

Only kidding. Not a bad build. Probably would have opted for a traditional SSD versus that VNAND 950 Pro M.2 drive personally. I heard those things get super hot. Is that true?

I measured with a temp gun doing a sequential read test and got a high of 56 Deg C on the drive. So not too bad. However, I would probable not spring for the extra $$ for the M.2 drive.

Ah empirical data...

Well that's not too bad. I don't know where the temperatures concerns came from. Probably from me. I'm so unreliable! Thanks for the info.

Hi How is this working? Is the psw 600w sufficient? I want to build a very similar list of parts I probably get the gigabyte 960 instead the gigabyte 970 Have you overclock some of your devices? proccesor, videocard or memory? How is the memory doing 3200 mhz does it really make difference to 2133 mhz or what about the samsung 950 pro is it worthy? :)

You could help me a lot. Thanks :D

Did you attached the Cooling power cable to the top fan connector or the bottom one? and why?
