SLI EVGA 1080's Duel ASUS 4K PB287Q 28" Monitors I7-5930 ASRock X99 OC Formula/3.1

Will be used for gaming, video editing, home office, etc...

My budget for this build was $5k and I was upgrading from an old 2008 desktop (been gaming mostly on laptops the past few years but they're just not beefy enough)

After lurking here now for a couple of weeks I've realized that I really know jack sh-- about building a computer...I'm a 100% disabled Vet and since getting out in '03 have gotten my last couple of full systems built at a local shop (I just didn't have the dexterity to even try to mess with it myself although I did play around with upgrading each of those systems a bit over the years...)

Anyway, this time I decided that I would try to do most of it myself - picked out all the parts, ordered em and had em shipped to a friends' so I wouldn't have to deal with carrying stuff (still waiting on an EVGA SLI HB Bridge of all things), but started it a couple of weeks ago)

Decided to change out the MoBoard pretty quickly so upgraded to the OC Formula on the parts list (didn't get a picture of it when it came in) because I wanted on-board 3.1 more than I cared about WiFi...Also added another video card (it's only money right?)

Terrified of water-cooling solutions but will probably try an AIO "in a bit" since he keeps lauding the benefits of overclocking (something I've never had a system capable enough to really worry about)...

My buddy helped with the build (well, his KID actually did most of the helping - kind of embarrassing; for HIM - I'm used to it by now! lol) I've decided to add "some" additional hard drives as well since I just filled up my gaming laptop (ASUS ROG which has a 500gig OS drive and 2T data drive) :( )

Will beef up the description and add some reviews and pictures in a week or so after I've had the chance to run it through the ringer!

Feel free to let me know what y'all think :)

Nice. The 5930k is a really good cpu. I used the same case and cpu on my build.
