This here is my second pc ever, it was time for a little update before going back to college so i put my old build for sale and was able to get just enough to buy the holy 1080ti, that lil guy is expensive af... BUT DEM FPS THO !
I'm mainly going to use this pc for gaming and 3D modeling/rendering so the 1080ti with its 11gb and the 7700k are going to be pretty handy for that. You might ask why i went with the i7 instead of a 1700x/1800x since i'm doing 3D stuff, the answer is that the i7 was a lil bit cheaper and perform better in games, plus almost all my 3D renders are done via the GPU so that's why. To cool that lil heat machine i went with the h115i because it have good reviews plus it was a lot cheaper, but less sexy, than the x62 from NZXT. I used to have my OS on an HDD and god it was slow, so that's why the SSD was a priority to have this time. The 1080 ti was an impulsive decision XD, I was originally going to buy a 1070, but because of the cryptocurrency and the miners, the 1070 is a big no no at that price, so i changed my mind for a 1080, but.... why not aim for da big boi this time ! (i had a 970 before). For the mobo, I chose the Gigabyte z270 gaming 7 because i like the white accents on it, it's lookin pretty good inside the white s340 elite, plus it got a **** load of LED. The s340 elite was a no brainer cuz thats a case i've wanted to have since it was launch last year, imo it's one of the best looking case for just 120$, the cable management is not the best tho, but i was able to make something somewhat clean. For the RAM, i went with the Trident Z RGB..... for the same reason as everybody else.
Atm I'm using a 1080p 60hz 24" benq monitor, but don't worry i'm not going to waste all that power on this little monitor for very long, i'm just putting some $$$ aside to buy an Acer Predator XB271HU, or if you have a better suggestion just tell me.
pretty good CPU for gaming and 3D stuff.
it's cooling my little heat machine pretty well, but is a tad noisy
lookin hellafresh with all dem LEDs, but getting dem drivers to work was a bit annoying
two words : RGB madness
i was only using an HDD before, this is like night and day, it's pretty fast
it's an HDD, it does HDD things
lookin pretty damn good, but cable management need a little more time
850W, gold certified, cheap, fully modular, +1
dunno what to say, it's windows...
expensive but good range
lookin gud, quiet, and inexpensive
