Description

i needed a good gaming pc , i havent upgraded in 8 years and i havent made a pc like this ever.So basically this my first real build.I had a intell before this and i wanted a change and i love this AMD system , more then i expected.4.7 ghz and those gpus work flawlessly in crossfire.BF4 works amazingly well never a hiccup. Im currently making an intel system for wife even knowing she wants AMD lol I`m curently looking for case controller , im adding more fans to make system cooler and in summer im making a custom liquid cooling system , lol once i get the courage to try it .But hopefully i can use this pc for 8-10 years without having to upgrade for games . I did find how ever amd was better for multi tasking , but me i find their products really close in comparison , Well now i start my intel rig for wife :D Love building computers hehehe

I have added 3 asus VE 278Q 2ml monitors with ergotron triple display stand with another desk clamp double arm for 3rd monitor

This is truly a real build! I honestly can't see anything wrong with any aspect of your new PC, +1!

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 0 points 53 months ago

thank you very much

actechy 7 Builds 1 point 53 months ago

What else do you use this for?

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 3 points 53 months ago

gaming mostly but wife uses it to make presentations and such for work and school

actechy 7 Builds 2 points 53 months ago

gotcha, whatever floats it :) Just curious if there was some kind of video/3d work. Enjoy!

uprightSimian 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

good question. Like the parts selection, but any particular reason for the 32GB RAM?

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

i got 32 gb just because wife leaves up apps for school and presentations and i`ll game with them up just dont want to run out of resources :)i know overkill right lol

uprightSimian 1 Build 3 points 53 months ago

wife leaving apps up, I know your pain. "Honey, why are there 10 tabs open in chrome all with items in shopping carts?" of course that would be in addition to Office running, mahjong probably and an MMO most likely.

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 2 points 53 months ago

plus 50 pages open from research for her papers she has to write everyday lol In which she flips out if I ever delete them lol

d4v0 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

awesome build! +1

Really2n2 1 point 53 months ago

I love that computer case! only if I had enough money to get it!

ABJ117 1 point 53 months ago

GO AMD!!! Awesome build. No go put those 290x's on water! xD

Lovroman 1 point 53 months ago

Why extra 24GB of RAM for Office ? Lol.

Velo for 240$ ?! Well...

290Xs which you could've gotten for 150$ less each..(the Asus version)

+1 from me, but I'm really confused.

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

ones i have listed arent the ones i have in system they dont have mine listed lol few stuff i had to go closest to. theres 3 or 4 that look identical to mine but mines clocked more lol and obviously the extra ram isnt for office lmfao for gaming and stuff i usually have 2 or 3 games running , playing with different friends lol and i got max amount for mobo just cause i know i wont have to worry about ram now lol

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

its not just for office , wife does lots of stuff and has to leave many stuff open daily plus I have friends playing different games which I play a few at a time lol and I hate having to get more crap for pc and the 32 gb ram was on sale and wasn't much more then the 16 so I went for it lol

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 49 months ago

I would use any brand before I would use asus gpu , nothing but headaches with them on other builds I will only use their motherboards , monitors and optical drives I rather quality over cheap price any day of the week, Sapphire seems to have one the best GPU`s I have ever owned

joshuaodoom 1 point 53 months ago

The title doesn't do it justice

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

lol what should I title it

joshuaodoom 1 point 53 months ago

Nasa's Supercomputer

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

lmfao

rOjOdogg 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

nice looking build with alot of overkill but hey that is a good thing. Have you done any benchmarks yet? would like to see what kind of numbers your getting plus fraps for your games. Why did you get the 9370 over the 8350? +1

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

yea i did a few benchmarks i put pick up . .this was when my pc was only 4.4 ghz i think, i have it 4.8 now lol Just dont have time to finish this build not mind get my intel one finished

bchurch 1 point 53 months ago

lol lol

Ludamister 1 point 53 months ago

Eight to ten years? I'd give it five years at most. That is, if you're expecting to run Ultra/Max everything. After five years, that's where I'd expect it to start to lose its performance. The GTX 480 came out in April 2010 and is still one of the top 25 videocards as of right now.

That being said, my build is like the exact polar opposite of yours (Intel build). I just bought the processor and motherboard so I'll be switching out my AMD FX 8150 and Crosshair V Formula by next Thursday! http://pcpartpicker.com/p/392Wh

Can't wait to finish it! Almost there! Then comes the watercooling!

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

yea i`m making wife intel im using I7 4960X imma try to put 3 titans in this one if i can, i love building pcs and learning on the way lol

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

i wish the R9 290X`s werent the most popular video card for mining put the prices of them threw the roof.....

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

looks like you have a nice rig too :D

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

what you doing with your cross hair ? if it works I might buy it LMFAO make a little money back , I was selling my other parts I know I wasn't going to get much since it was used but a little money backs better then nothing lol

Ludamister 1 point 53 months ago

Lol funny you should ask. I just built another PC for my friend using the FX 8150 and Crosshair. Perhaps I should make a completed build list with it? I intended to sell it all online for at least $250-300 but I just sold it to him for $160. Great deal, right? lol

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

well they 127.00 in newegg.com now , http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132005R i live right at border to usa and theres a place you can get your stuff mailed too. It`s like a post office . pay for it online and go get it once it arrives , They have them at every border crossing :D

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

i just wish i knew about this before i bought all my parts lmfao

Ludamister 1 point 53 months ago

Lol the link you provided is a crosshair VI, not V. Do you buy Open box? I've never actually tried to buy open box.

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

me no I never have bought open box lol I would if I didn't have the money and as long as it worked good . I`d be scared to buy opened already lol

pencilprince 1 point 53 months ago

this is the first time I saw using fx 9370 here, how's it? why not 8350 over 9370?.efficiency really matters with high power draw at 220W over 125W in 8350., but still is a great cpu though.

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

i can make this one more stable higher ghz , i have both , i just like this one better for gaming and stuff

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

I actually wanted the 9590 but wasn't in stock so got dropped down to 9370 and I love the processor , I have it running at 4.7 ghz and runs games and multi tasking awesome

pencilprince 1 point 53 months ago

I see it's really depend on you.,still great build in red team lol.

dalethezombie 2 Builds 1 point 53 months ago

Really nice! Not a huge AMD fan, but this looks great! 290x's not setting any house fires? xD +1

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

yea I was intell last 8 years , I always liked amd and thought id mix it up a bit and build amd. I`m starting my intell build for the wife now . Too much bloody selections for everything amd was soo much easier

Rock73 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

Excellent FIRST Build!! =), I saw that you also have very High Temps like me, but your CPU is 225W, One question? have you tried to change the Thermal paste to lowered the CPU temp ?? Mine PC is working OK with OC to 4.4Ghz but not complete yet, http://pcpartpicker.com/b/OqG , maybe in the future I'll try a custom liquid cooling :P

Bye.

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

I used high temp paste , 4.7 ghz and my average temps 28 to 34 degrees idle pending on my room temp and gaming im at 40-48 degrees , Im adding another tri-x R9 290X I wont add the forth till I get a custom loop done make sure its really cool . My next pc will have 4 titans unless AMD comes out with another GPU to up this R9 290X . I love to build pcs , going to be a hobby I think

Rock73 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

Wow!, tri-x R9 O.O !!, overkill but amazing ;), yes is nice to build oneself her PC, I'm learning also, Curious when you get the forth GPU ;), nice if you share another pics. last question, what brand of custom loops do you prefer?? Bye

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

I have never done a custom loop before , so I will have to research and decide what kind of loop I will need to install , these can get very tricky from what Im told , I just know once I add my 3rd GPU I will be mad hot in summer with the muggy heat , in summer I will have my 3 monitor set up going , Im using 50 inch led hd tvs lol I`m going gaming extreme hehehe

YosefK 1 point 53 months ago

Did you pull the 200 fan away to fit the cooler? And did it fit good or what? I want to buy the case and the H100i and I'm afraid from the viewers feedback that they say it will be bad for the airflow. Waiting for your answer, it will really help me.

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 2 points 53 months ago

if your talking about fan in back no I didn't move a thing I mounted my dual cpu cooler on the top and works great , I`ve learned to not listen to people lol I got a lot of bad advice from people and they prob didn't even have the parts in question lol I didn't have 1 single problem with anything on my build went together like a glove with plenty of room

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

if you ever need help with the case I`d gladly help ya , but I doubt you will need it , this case is best out there for sure, make sure you get the right one there are 2 storm stryker cases I got the more expensive one of the 2 ones 159 and other is 200 get the one that shows the double fans in side for hdd and ssd

hjj174 1 point 52 months ago

It's shame about the 9590. I believe they were on sale for $250 last week on Newegg.

Maximxxx100 1 point 51 months ago

Nice build! I really like your case! But I'm really confused why you got a Asus Xonar Essence Sound card??? It adds an extra 240$! (Could use that money elsewhere)

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 51 months ago

I don't mine wasn't listed lol I have 8.1 built in my GPU card , Nice that R9 290X/s have great audio lol

Maximxxx100 1 point 51 months ago

Oh lol, yeah love your GPU's- They got them sexy 3 fans xP

Pcgamer20001 1 point 49 months ago

What monitors are those.

Hazarded 1 point 49 months ago

How is the amd ram? Have you had any problems with them?

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 49 months ago

not one problem , when you have an amd pc it will run the best , as it should , I just wish my motherboard will allow larger size ram , stupid asus focuses all on intel and sad to say gigabyte and others are making better amd boards now , if not better they are up to par

Hazarded 1 point 49 months ago

Yea this is a sad thing, ASUS is giving up on AMD because of money. It's a good thing that I bought a gigabyte UD5 then.

dzdncnfsd73 submitter 1 Build 1 point 49 months ago

Im still not finish with this build , I think im putting in XSPC Raystorm 750 RS240 Liquid cooling kit , Im still un decided , this kit will put a nice blue led inside but im not sure if its compatible with AM3+

Smk54 3 Builds 1 point 44 months ago

I have one build using the ASUS 990FX and am getting ready to use it again in a new build. The new one will have an AMD 8350 CPU and 16 GB using same RAM as you used. Love the build. Great job!

vekspec 3 Builds 1 point 41 months ago

Good build! Though FireStrike and AMD systems seem to fall into that 11000 range. Intel seems to be much higher. For example mine: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/4107112.

Anyhows, good build! was thinking of putting one together, only with one card ofc lol :)

GroundUr 1 point 38 months ago

The pci 2.0 of the am3+ socket don't bottleneck the crossfire?
