Description

Built this computer for my kids, they are 10 and 7 and big into gaming. I chose the the motherboard at the time for the wifi and it runs perfect. Hardly any latency difference between wired and wireless and gets the same speed.

I recently swapped the old cooler (H80i) to the h100i for extra cooling and get a slightly higher clock. With the H80i i was only able to get 4.3ghz with 1.22voltage. Going up to 4.4 required 1.27 and thermally was way to high the h80i. After is put the h100i in obviously i was able to get the 4.4. I couldn't get 4.5 without going way to high with the voltage. Idle temps are 24 and stressing with Aida 64 67-69 degrees.

GPU is from my old computer i built years ago..thought i would throw it in there, since it runs completely fine and was taken care of. Airflow is pretty good with this case , gpu never hits 70 degrees.

Parts used were pretty much from other builds, so no real theme going on but tried to make it look good. Its really quiet due to the fan controller. Im using 2 inverterless ccfl's inside the case for the lighting, would only need 1 but due to the case window being tinted i needed to use 2.

All in all, the computer was fun to build, kids are enjoying the minecraft time lol

32 GB of RAM is more than any 7 or 10 year old could ask for xD. On the bright side you're kids shouldn't be asking for any more power, this rig definitely more than enough! When I was 7 all I had was my table and my LEGO bricks

Stop buying extra pi devices, they are obviously putting a large dent in your powerhouse gaming rig budget! \s
