Why a Z97 board with a locked CPU? Great choice on GPU, it is my favorite of the 970s and the one I am planning on putting in my build. Dude, your cables though, holy crap, WTF is going on there? You can do better man, I know you can. It would probably help a bit with temps too.

im planning on upgrading either my ram or cpu soon.. im not very familiar with overclocking my system yet so I didn't feel that was needed. the cable management was the hardest part, im still working on it.

Before changing anything, cable management and get a better CPU cooler

In before all of the Z97 and non-overclockable CPU haters. I like it, a good build, although I am not too fond of the case. +1

His CPU is locked, not much need for an aftermarket cooler.

You just blew so much money on a power supply unit when you didn't even need it. You could have saved $100 with buying a CX 600M as its $49.99 in Canada

Nice build. I would recommend a Cooler Master 212 EVO cooler if you want to lower the temps. I have the same case and it fits inside, even though it doesn't say it does.
