Description

Using this for games like the witcher 3 and other games I've missed out on while playing in my 4 year old, slow *** laptop. Also will be using this for engineering software, programming and anything my major will throw at me. I also messed up while setting it up. I pushed a pin too hard in the wrong position and I ended up screwing up one of my front USB 3.0 ports. Thankfully I have more ports at the back. Would have been nice if I could just plug both my keyboard and mouse in the front though. Anyways, really happy for this build even though news of the 480 and 1060 are making me slightly wish I waited a little longer.

Maybe you should instead go with a B or H cheap mobo since you have a locked chip. But overall, its a nice build :D hows your experience with the cooler master KBM combo?

But what if he wants to upgrade to an unlocked chip later down the road? See here my friend, thinking about possible upgrade paths is a good thing.

the keyboard is pretty good. i dont like the mouse that much though so i gave it to my brother. i prefer my CM Storm mouse. Oh well. Who knows how soon I will buy an unlocked processor. :)

Are you able to play witcher 3 in good quality on this build? I'm trying to pick a first build for playing things like dark souls 3 and I don't know much about building yet, thanks.

yes I can play in almost everything ultra except like 3 of the settings! I just looked at the requirements and the only thing that my build might bottleneck is my CPU so you might want to consider an i5 6600k to overclock(have to look at reddit or something bc I dont know much about OC) Other than that, the recommended GPU is something similar to a 970.
