Description

Hey everyone! Just a shout out to the community on here!

I came on here about 3 months ago trying to get help picking stuff for my first ever computer build! spent countless hours researching and getting in contact with people on here for tips! Just wanted to post a few pictures of my new setup and say thanks to everyone for all the help!

.. About 1350$ CAD for this build. looking forward to my next one down the road!

Lighting system has a lot of colours and cool effects I can't take pictures of unfortunately! :(

Part Reviews

CPU

Would go for the 1200 over the 1300x cause they both overclock about the same! but at the time this was cheaper :)

Motherboard

Nice board over all, no issues with it 3-4 months in. nice overclocking abilities, easy BIOS, supports 3200mhz ram. looks great :)

Memory

No issues, 3200 mhz outta the box as promised, suits my build style!

Storage

SUPER FAST :) NO Issues yet.

Video Card

1-2% Performance difference compared to a duel fan gpu. No issues with cooling. hits 70C MAX on load with my case and fan setup. Overclocks nice and handles w.e I throw at it :)

Case

BEST, EASYIEST, AMAZINGLY COOL LOOKING CASE :) .. Real glass panel, amazing cable management! great look for all types and ideas. recommend 4 sure

As much as people may think red/black builds are overdone, I like this one. +1 from me. Good job.

Thanks! they are over done I agree but they just look so good if done right!

Kinda the same as the build I was originally gonna go for (before I got a deal on my Red Devil card). Though I would've tried getting the 6 gig card if going the 1060 route. Not bad overall though :)

mikeu5717 submitter 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

yea! I was going to get the 6G card but at the time was an extra 70$ and I don't use 4k or VR at the moment so it fit my needs :) will upgrade in the future once I get into VR

Pretty much same set up I'm going for! it looks really nice but how did you run all 4 fans on motherboard?

PurpleTurkey 1 point 11 months ago

I saw you had a power supply I was thinking of getting, but I have one question. For the EVGA BQ 600W, how many Molex connectors does it include? For the build I am planning to create, I'm probably going to need 3.

Looks good just the 1060 is a little small and its a generic build anyone could do.

mikeu5717 submitter 1 Build 2 points 14 months ago

Yea i choose the smaller.card because the performance is only 1-2% less then a full.card and i s@Ved almost 90$!!

mikeu5717 submitter 1 Build 1 point 14 months ago

Yea I choose the smaller Gfx card for Budget issues. will be upgrading in the future :). Also this was my FIRST pc build ever so I choose everything for simplicity of building.

Who cares if the 1060 "is a little small" or the build is "generic"? Its his first build, mine is basically the same. Why the hate? Are we not allowed to post PC's that aren't super fancy expensive rigs?

ItsJustTurtles 1 point 13 months ago

Your build being the same proves the point of it being generic... Anyway my favourite build's on here are some of the cheaper builds my Favourite build list on here is under $200.

napreaux 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Then why are you trashing it? There's a reason that this is a lot of people's first build that "anyone could do". It's proven and its a good way to get your hands in the game with good performance. Where's your super non-generic build?

ItsJustTurtles 1 point 13 months ago

While i admit my setup is one anyone could do i've never seen someone with anything like it. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/98JNkT

Also i never "Trashed it" i said it looks good just I've seen so many builds like it.
