Description

Machine is used for centralized backups, hosting sever applications, and for network storage. It's a bit of over kill for the client's needs at this time; however, scale-ability is wide open on this build.

Part Reviews

Thermal Compound

Not much to say other than this stuff works and it works well. I see about 10(c) degree difference

Storage

Speed and performance. I've done a ton of research and I will spare you the agony. This is the drive you are looking for.

Storage

I've built two separate servers utilizing these reliable drives, which provide plenty of storage. I am using stablebit's drive pool and drive scanner to monitor them .

Case

This case is AWESOME!!! It is probably the sturdiest case I have ever worked with. The carrying handles are a great feature; however, I do wish they had used some higher quality switches on the front panel to finish out the military-esque styling and ruggedness. All in all this is a great case with plenty of room and features for a builder to really display their craft.

Power Supply

Quiet P/S with plenty of connections. Can't beat the price point

NSA would have 6x 3 PB hard drives

every bit is recorded by the NSA anyway, so in a nutshell you're correct.

Thank you, she's been up and running stable for about 3 weeks as of today. No issues and plenty of processing power for a application/file server.

At first look (at the picture) I thought.... This PC is incomplete... nothing in in the MOBO slots... but then I realized... there was RAM there... and you don't need a GPU... -_-"

No need for anything in the PCIe Slots yet. I believe I'll probably expand and add another NIC and run DD-wrt in a V-box.
