Description

This is the first time I have ever build a gaming rig. I have had desktops/laptops in the past and I never had any satisfaction with them. So I worked a lot over the summer and saved up enough money to go all out. I've had it for a month or two now and so far the experience has been great. Gaming is super smooth. Some changes that I would make if I was to do it again...get EVGA graphics card instead of Zotac. Although the graphics card is great and I've had no problems with it, I think EVGA is a great company (based on online reviews and from a friend's suggestion). However, this graphics card seems to be doing its job - temps are quite low under load e.g. Overwatch at 144fps 2K with high settings run around 60 to 69 C depending on ambient temperature, how much is rendering and how long you've been playing. Also I would get RGB rams instead of the plain old boring ones I have now. Because RGB seems to be the thing now. The case it self is extremely aesthetic and nice to look at because you get to see what you just built. There is a side rack to mount your storage although I would not mount a hard drive on there because it touches the tempered glass a bit and occasionally makes these sounds. I haven't had any issues with the fan noise, I think its pretty quiet but that might depend on the person.

Overall, I'm fairly content with this build. Going forward, I'm looking to buy a mechanical keyboard, a better gaming mouse and a pair of wireless headset.

Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for future builds.

Great build. More cable management. Upgrades you should look towards: M.2 SSD, getting rid of the spinning disk drive and if you really want to, get faster ram, otherwise a great build!

Yea I don’t really use my hard drive. I am going to remove it and go full SSD.
