Most powerful GPUs have a sag due to weight. It is totally normal.

Great build for gaming, and +1 for the temp. Did you delid your cpu to get it that low? Might want to add a description so you don't get down voted.

he probably didn't stress test it. Also, delidding isn't going to do anything useful until the cpu is being given a good OC

yep he should load it with prime95 and then he will get the real temp

No he should not use prime95 because it has a bug where it overvolts Haswell.

It doesn't overvolt anything if you have your voltage set to manual. It only sends your voltage skyrocketing if you have adaptive/offset mode on, and you can adjust for that anyways. People these days just aren't doing enough research on their chip. It's not only Haswell anyways, this happens on all chips with AVX instructions.

I specifically mentioned Haswell because it gets hotter easier because of the terrible glue that Intel uses.

What's wrong with windows 7 ultimate? he got it somewhere free, legit or not i don't see the problem with windows 7...?

My guess is that he will eventually add another 770 or use multiple monitors. As for windows 7, I have to agree. He should've just gotten windows 8/8.1

Even with multiple monitors, a single 770 can't utilize all 4 gigs of VRAM, so I really hope he's getting another one

Windows 8 is garbage so why should he use it? Because it's the latest? I run 7 because I prefer it and maybe he does

It is noticeably faster than windows 7 and you can get get startisback or start8. I'm not saying his descision was wrong, I'm just saying that if he was looking for something a bit better he could've gotten 8 instead. I have nothing against windows 7. And could you provide some arguments as to why it's garbage, because in the 4 months that I've had it, it's been great.

i ran it for 9-12 months from 8 through to 8.1 and abandoned it in april when i sold my laptop i missed the 8.1 update 1. its not noticeably faster than 7 i ran both on an ssd and there very close, to the point that i would have to benchmark and time it to see if there was a difference.

i had numerous issues. i had a real issue trying to get the networks working properly (local and wan) gaming performance was down in the same games that worked fine in win7 across multiple drivers, not to mention that the os feels like 2 different ones sandwiched together. The way your taken from the desktop and dumped in the metro ui (or whatever there calling it now) whenever you want to use a app (of which there were few) or the start menu. im sorry but the notion of having to buy 3rd party software to make a os usable speaks volumes to the issues and even with start8 you still found yourself in the metro start screen from time to time.

i will admit that "garbage" was a little OTT and it wasnt all bad. i did love the minimal look on the desktop and i do miss the ribbon in explorer, and the task manger was miles better but there not enough to make me go back. 8.1 update 1 came a little too late to rescue me i am afraid.
