Description

This is my entry into pc community as a whole and let me say i am happy to be apart of the community. It runs like a dream and so far i am able to max some of the games (i am able to play, still downloading from Steam). the games i have played so far are Fallout 3 GOTY and CS:GO.

Justification for parts selection

Intel Core i5-4590: i did some research and i saw that this processor is pretty darn good for gaming. i didnt wanna buy the i5-4690 because im cheap but this processor is doing the job just fine.

ASRock H97 Performance: i got it because i didnt need a Z97 seeing as i have no interest in overclocking.

GSkills RAM: its RAM and it works lol.

Samsung 850 EVO SSD: i wanted to put my OS on it so i could have a lightning fast computer. it hasnt come in the mail yet but i took apart an external HDD and installed that for now. i plan on moving the OS to this ASAP.

MSI 970: it was the cheapest out of my choices for GPU. i didnt wanna buy a 980 seeing as all i wanted was 1080p gaming.

Phanteks Enthoo Pro: i read that this is an amazing case and people were not lying. i love this thing. it keeps everything nice and cool.

AOC monitor: it looked cool and supported 1080p gaming and was at a great price when i ordered it.

CM Storm: i wasnt too sure if i would like this keyboard but i really do and it was at a great price.

All in all i am incredibly happy with my build and wouldnt change a thing. Leave some feedback on the build i would love to hear what the community has to say!

Nice red themed build! A full system, including Windows, an Intel processor, an SSD, and a 970, all for $1200? I'm impressed.

You definitely saved yourself quite a bit of money by going with a non-K i5 and an H97 motherboard.

Looks like very solid build. Plus, all the components match the black and red theme!

jipster69: i forgot to peel it off lol

jabbawockee: thanks man!

m53nickerson: yeah that was the goal, im lucky to have found parts that matched!

biggles5107: thanks alot man. i was so surpised that i was able to get all these parts for a relatively low cost. i dont even know what overclocking is so i avaoided it entirely and the motherboard was a no-brainer!
