Description

Hi all, this is my first ever pc build. I had no prior experience and knowledge of picking the correct parts. Thanks to my buddy, he helped me pick some of the core parts that fits quiet well into my budget (CPU, MBO, Ram). Also, I was told that to build it myself and not going to the local ncix or canada computers is frowned upon lol and dont "cheap" out on essential parts. Anyways, i proceeded and did everything myself once all the parts came in. Overall, a great experience building it myself and with the help of youtube vids. Pretty poor cable management, but I did my best. Apparently, this is what people call a "skylake" build. Really looking forward on playing some Gta, witcher 3, LoL and BF4 with this new rig. and at last, I HAVE ASCENDED!!!

People would refer to this build as "Skylake" because the processor you chose, the i5 6500, was released with a set of other Cpu's in August 2015 with the codename of Skylake. Soon, Intel is releasing another set of Cpu's which are called "Kaby Lake", and also previous sets of cpu's have been codenamed Haswell and Broadwell. AMD also has there own names for both Gpu's and cpu's.

Congratulations on completing your first ever pc build! Buying a pre-built pc is definitely frowned upon in the pc community as it is always cheaper, more fulfilling, and more entertaining to build your pc yourself. A very nice build!
