Description

I had all of these parts from my previous build but upgraded to a corsair 400c and donated my 100r to a kid in need of a case for his gaming rig. I now have a pc case or should I say showcase :).

Nice! But for a build of this price, I recommend a SSD

Thank you, and it does 250gb one. It would be the Faspeed F710-250g model. :)

I've been waiting to see a build in this case, +1. But how come you have 1 intake and 1 exhaust up top?

I actually have both up top at the moment exhausting air. I was toying with configurations on the cooling because that was the main reason I chose this case. I needed to get this setup outside of the 100r silent edition at full load my GTX 970 sli was hitting 81C. Now, I'm at 62-68c and am loving it. Nice catch though but yes both I would recommend exhaust up top for optimal cooling :). (side not 2 x 140m fit up there)

So, which fans are where? Where do you have the SP fans and the AF fans?

Nice build. I am in process to make my own, would you recommend 2x 970s or a single 980ti?

It's about the same amount of money to get either 2 970s or 1 980ti. Anytime this question comes up, I keep being told 980ti, hands down. Several reasons include the lower power consumption of 1 card, sli doesn't work properly in most games, 6gb vram vs 3.5, that kinda stuff. Personally, I'd stick with just the 1 card.

I would recommend the single 980ti... I actually went this route because i had a 970 already... This set up is actually faster than a single 980ti... But is limites by the vram and sli support in some games ... Safe bet 980ti

Hey, I was looking at this case but wondering about the window, does it scratch really easily and collect dust?

Hello, no actually I can say it does no scratch easy it fees like Plexiglass and I have not cleaned it in a week and I don't see any dust actually on the window. It does come out really shiny in pictures but it's actually tinted in a darker setting. I hope that helps.

Awesome build, very tidy!

Question: im planning on buying this case but the only thing holdibg me back is that plastic cover thing for the psu and hdd bays. I read a (single) review where this guys hdds where overheating wildly in the case of the...case.

This apply to you? Any other thoughts on the case? Thanks

Well what I can say is that it does depend on the size of the power supply and the power supply itself. The covers only give me the issue of being made for a smaller sized power supply. I didn't understand what Gamer Nexus review meant by that until I finished by build. There are 2 screws that secure the covers in place that won't fit because of the power supply length. Also, the case has magnets to enclose it and the bottom does not have exposed metal to grasp to it. The top to explain has screws for the magnet to attach but the bottom doesn't. These are my few complaints also the outside of the window does show like it scratches at an angle. Hope his helps.

If you added white/black braided cables this would look incredible :)

Thank you, and great Idea I didn't go to the sleeved route because I never have done it before. If you can recommend some or where to find some I'll look into it :).

Is the inside of the case metal? I plan on mounting magnetic LED strips on the sides. Would that be possible? Thanks!

Yes, the case Is metal. I have not put magnetic strips myself. I want to tell you the metal is painted surrounding the window and I don't know how that would affect the LED strips being able to attach to it. I hope that helps ... Happy Building.

are you using AF fans at the front? I have AF fans and I feel the dust filter limits the airflow and might try using SP fans instead.

I have an H60 too, having a hard time deciding where to keep it...
