Description

Pc is used for gaming, school and productivity :) I promised upgrades, here they are :D My first build was crappy and I was disappointed in it. But now since ive taken it apart and built it into a fantastic new case with a beefy 780 to match the i7 im pretty happy. The upgrades I installed were: a blue chaser (thunder) a31, a Gigabyte wind force gtx 780. 3 purple led corsair af120 and af140s (quiet edition), and a atx extension cable from bitfenix. NEXT UPGRADES: Fan controller, NZXT hue lighting kit because that looks so good and can turn to what ever color you choose. Oh and dual channel 8g or quad 16g of ram.

Hope you like my cable management- far from perfect but I did my best. Take not as last time thees are Australian pricing which is pretty steep. All new parts ordered from http://www.pccasegear.com

GPU: fantastic, worth its price runs everything in ultra with good frames. Love playing metro LL in pretty much max and splinter cell black list completely maxed out which feels great because previously I could never do that. The 780 never pushes past 78C and runs under full load around 70c-78c. Cranking up the fan speed ofcourse keeps it cooler but it gets pretty noisy past 2500rpm.

CASE: Fantastic! The blue looks soooooo good. its vibrant and a nice tone. Also matches my color scheme (kinda). The case is in no means quiet, the top cover over the two exhausts rattle a bit and makes more noise if it wasn't there. The case also makes my table vibrate a bit, but its barely noticeable. The a31 has plenty of cable management space at the back but it could have more. Also the a31 has space for 2x 120s at the front for intake, 2x 140s at the top for exhaust and one 120 at the back for exhaust, which the a31 comes included with which is a blue led fan.

FANS: Looks amazing on and off, I put the 120 at the front for intake and two 140s at the top for exaust, the 120 blue led that comes with the a31 is contrasts with the purple corsair fans pretty well and looks cool so I left it installed. unfortunately my mobo doesn't have enough fan power ports so im going to by a fan controller which also powers them. (fan controller I might get: NZXT Sentry Mix 2 Fan Controller) So right now i have one top exhaust fan unactive.

All my other hardware is running great, no problems and I would reccomend my mobo, ssd and CPU (unfortunately i have the locked version which was one of my mistakes :P)

Its the non K version of the 3770. He won't need a cooler

Really best build plus the accessories. Better cable managment than I could lmao

Also suggest an aftermarket cooler.

If the noise isn't bothering him, then there's no point

I wasn't talking about noise. The stock cooler is not really the best way to go for gaming.

Getting an aftermarket cooler is better because it can keep the temps really low when under load.

But if the temps don't go past whatever the recommended temps are, then again there's no point in spending extra money. Of course we don't know exactly what his temps are but it should be low enough with the stock cooler

Nice job! Glad to hear the corsair fans are of good quality. I was thinking of getting them for my next build.

I have both corsair and noctua fans... corsairs of solid quality and relatively quiet. Cost is an issue with noctua but they're suuuuppper quiet imo. Corsairs a solid choice though

How do you like those purple LED fans?

They are soooo good, because there are 4 leds and the fan is transparent it makes a very nice blur or purple.
