Description

I wanted to build an HTPC to store my media and play it with xbmc, as well as doing some light gaming and emulation. I put in an SSD as a boot drive for windows, put in a Blu-ray drive because I don't have any other Blu-Ray player, 2TB hard drive to store plenty of movies, TV shows, and Steam games. I chose the CPU/Mobo/RAM combo to try to maximize the gaming capabilities but still fit in my budget. I chose the case because it was compact and not ugly. Windows 8 because I had a free copy available and I like the metro interface for use on a TV. I had to order an extra sata cable and molex-sata adapter.

It's not the prettiest. But you did it at a good price and that's what counts.:-)

OK, cool. I wasn't sure if you had accidentally left it out of the list or if you were using integrated graphics, though integrated is fine for a media machine and not a gaming one.

I like it, but I think cable management could improve a bit, but otherwise it's a nice build for <$500 :)

There is next to no ability for cable management in these cases. You're lucky if the 20+4 even reaches the board.
