Description

(Just realized I don't have a picture of the tower as a whole. Just sent the owner a message, I should have some more photos pretty soon.)

This is an upgrade to a build I did a while ago for a friend. After upgrading my case, I gave my friend a good deal on my old one.

When I first made his build, I was still pretty new to PC building. The part list I made was okay, but I really could have done better with the case and cables. Since then, he had upgraded to 16GB of RAM and an SSD so i decided to give all of his components a better looking and colder home.

The 3.5 inch mounts right in front of the intake fans was not ideal, so I decided to mount all drives in the top 5.5" bays to keep that area open. I just happened to have 2 5.5" to 3.5" adapters laying around, which was awesome. I'm very happy with how the cables are managed in this build versus how I had them in my personal build that was in the case originally. (I have before and after pictures of everything above)

Otherwise, he's very happy with the new quieter and nicer looking case.

I always appreciate feedback. Check out my other builds if you're interested!

Part Reviews

Motherboard

Fine motherboard, except the onboard audio headers are in a very inconvenient spot. The header cable in my case couldn't reach, so I had to leave it unplugged.

Case

Decent looking, decent cable management. Not the best, but not the worst.

A little gpu sag, but other than that very nice build! +1

Yeah, unfortunately those beefy STRIX GPUs are incredibly heavy. Might grab him a support bracket down the line.

Thank you!

Looks like a throw back build that could still game! +1
