Description

This is my first PC build. I had an old laptop for several years and finally decided to build my own PC. I originally bought the GTX 770 but decided to return it. I ordered the Kraken G10 and the Kraken X40 to watercool a R9 290 video card that I will purchase. The Lian Li case is awesome, huge and easy to work with. I have the H100i mounted on top of the case with a push/pull configuration. I wanted to purchase the Kraken X60 or H110 and install it behind the 140mm fans in front of the case but it will not fit. So I ordered the X40 instead. Once I receive the Kraken G10 and install it, I will add more pictures. My wires are messy because I am waiting for the video card, G10, and X40 to arrive. Once I have everything installed, I will zip tie the wires.

Update (16Dec2013) - Bought the Gigabyte R9 290 from Newegg.

Buy a 290 non x. It performs better in some games and it is cheaper than a 290x. If you over clock it with your G10 on it, it will perform better than a 290x. IMO a 290x is a pointless card

Good point. I will make my decision when my G10 ships.

I did not buy the 290x video card yet. I just put it the parts list for future reference. I am waiting for the G10 to arrive.

Excited to here how either the 290x or non x perform with the G10 and water cooling. Great choice there. I bet you will be thrilled with the performance.

I'd love to see the g10 in action, the 290 sure could use something like an x40

Just curious, how is Intel Graphics on Haswell performing while you're in the market for a GPU?

Also Nice build!

It actually plays Battlefield 4! Its pretty laggy though.

Well, hopefully that will change soon! I don't know much about your preference, but It's 100% worth it to buy 2 GTX 760. In SLI, they out-perform the 780 and even the Titan in some cases.

I'm going with the XFX's R9 290 because it's unlocked and slapping a g10 too but with an Antec 620. Can't wait to see how it works out for you.

Very high quality parts, with that motherboard you better do something epic. Side note: I Lol'd hard at the 20% cooler on the gtx 770 box XD

I'm so confused. You have a 770 in the pics and a 290x in the parts list. i see where you messed up
