Description

Home PC build. Gaming and photo editing.

Still a work in progress but this is what I have come up with so far.

Your keyboard or RAM or PSU is more expensive than your CPU

And the A10 in a $2000 buid? Maybe a $700 , but at $2000 , you could get so much more !

I was thinking the same thing. I really hope this grew out of a $700 build and he has not had the funds to replace the mobo/CPU.

Maybe that is all he needs and he does not have the funds to splurge that much money at one time. Or This is just all the power he needs and he wanted it to look nice.

I cannot tell if you are agreeing with me or trying to argue me. I said I hope this grew out of a budget build, meaning nickel and diming new parts like that R9 390. The GPU being a luxury he could not afford when building the original version of this but was able to upgrade to later.

On the looks part, that is a poor argument. You can get basically the same look from a AM3+, LGA1150 and LGA1151 build and all of which would out preform an FM2+ build. You can never go wrong with a parts choice as you are the only one you need to make happy, but you can make poor choices. Going with an APU and a GPU (noncrossfire) from the start is a bad idea (this is not including upgrading to a GPU later), you are spending extra money on the APU that you are not even using. If you really want FM2+ you would be much better served with a Athlon x4 860k (or one of its siblings) over an A10, similar CPU power but not blowing the extra $80 on the iGPU that is in the APU.

Don't get me wrong this is not a bad build, just strange to have an APU in this parts list especially for the price.

Did you pay for all the components or owned some already?

I hope I'll be able to hide the cables as perfectly as that!

This is a creative build. I hope it works well for you! Unless you already bought it, I would go for an Intel cpu however that is totally up to you!

I like the theme of the build, but it's straight off unbalanced, particularly the power supply and the cooler. Great build, 3.75/5

Personally I would swap the cpu/cooler/mobo for an i5 with a hyper 212 evo and nice overclockable mobo
