Description

Hey all, so this is my 3rd version of the first PC I've ever built, my other two are under my completed builds. On this version, I set out to do a color scheme I've never seen before. When I was trying to pick one, I hardly ever saw a DARK green, only the more common lime green/neon green color. When I saw the Anidees AI Crystal Cube come out in white, I knew I wanted to go cube, and that i'd give the white/dark green theme a shot. I think i'm the first one on here to build in this case in white w/ the RGB Anidees fans, but I could be wrong.

I underestimated how hard it would be to find the correct flex sleeving in dark green! MDPC doesn't carry a dark green, so I had to hunt, and FINALLY found a FLEXOPET color named Forrest Green. It matches my forest green paracord sleeved extensions perfectly. A couple hours of sleeving, some custom painting of the GPU, GPU support, CPU cooler, Radiator, and some other pieces, here is the completed project!

I know the parts are "older", but they run almost any game I throw at it at 1440p@60fps, and that's my goal for right now.

The paracord extensions were done by a buddy at solosleeving, and all of the Techflex sleeving and painting was done by myself. Every cable in this PC is sleeved, including the USB 3.0 cable (it's technically just wrapped in paracord, it's the best I could do!

I hope you enjoy this build as much as I did working on it! Please let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Part Reviews

CPU

I've been nothing but happy with this processor. It plug & chugs through anything I throw at it. I haven't done too much overclocking, as i'm still new to it, but it's still a great proc when compared to the current line-up. I'll use it until it becomes a bottleneck I believe.

Motherboard

This MOBO is great for the feature set, although it's starting to show it's age. Only supports DDR3 and the orange lights on the board drive me crazy and you can't disable them that i've been able to find. Outside of that, no complaints at all.

Case

This case is awesome. The glass is VERY thick and substantial. For a smaller cube form factor, there is ample space for cable management, although it does get a little crowded in the back of the case. Air flow from the front panel is also a little bit of an issue due to the glass being so close to the fans, but my system hasn't done any throttling, or even gotten to hot for my liking yet, so i'll just continue to monitor it. My only other gripe is all of the cables for the front panel connectors at the bottom of the motherboard have to go through the holes to the right of the board, as there is no space/holes on the bottom of the case/bottom of the motherboard for them to go through. This was okay, as I sleeved all of them anyways.

Thanks! It's from Puget Systems -- I didn't want to do some free advertising so I painted it, i'll probably cut out "White Forest" in vinyl and put it on there so the name is somewhere!

Great evolution man. You really took those parts and made them worth a double/triple take.

Cool idea well executed!

Good job here, i like your color choice. Its always cool to see someone stray to the far corners of the color wheel. Also, i've never liked the looks of the mini fridge cases, but you certainly make it look great. And i suppose this particular case is one of the better looking models.

YES ! Feels good to see a real color scheme instead of all those boring rgb builds. Good work, +1

I concur! I was seeing too much RGB around, so I had to step it up for my 3rd build!

i would say yes, you could if you wanted to

thanks i was really interested in the case, only thing that concerns me is that front fan bracket as reviews said its pretty close to the glass.

It is pretty close to the glass, but honestly, I haven't seen any heating issues arise from this -- It seems the air flows pretty well if you have fans exiting out the top and rear.

Love the white and green! Do you get enough airflow using with thw fans outside the frame near thw glass?

Thanks! to be honest, I don't think so, i normally take off the side glass when i'm playing VR, as it tends to get a bit hot, but other than that it's all good
