Description

Hey guys thanks for checking out my build. Theres a couple of things i would change though. 1. the case, i don't like this case very much. The cable management sucks and i just don't like the look of it. I did like the look of it when i bought it in April but now it just looks ugly to me. Next time i will definitely spend a lot more money on a case. the only other thing i would change is the ssd i used. i probably would have gone with the pro version and i will next build. other than that this thing is pretty fast. i get around 75ish fps on high settings in planetside 2. For all of you windows 8 haters out there i happen to love windows 8, its fast, fluid, and it starts up extremely fast. mine opens up in about 7 seconds. This rig is going to be used for battlefield 4, planetside 2, and alot of other games coming up. feel free to leave feedback on this build, it would be much appreciated.

P.S. i know my cable management is bad but i literally have 5 milimeters of space in between there to fit wires. btw if some of the photos seem upside down or crooked that is because for some reason this site flipped them...idk

Alot of People hate Windows 8 because of it's UI, but once you mod it to get the old win7 UI it's perfect, much faster with the win7 UI.

Still better than my Bitfenix, I've never been the best at cable managing, especially in a mITX case, there is no where to put the cables Lol.

I couldn't even get the Psu in all the way Lol. I'm better at picking the parts and putting it together quickly, cable management is my weakness

i actually spent like 30 minutes putting the psu in on this case because i didn't know i had to move a little piece on the bottom of the casethat held it in place. it made my scratch up my psu as well.

i would like to see the cable management your talking about but picture is too dark to see a cable. that aside glad your going to get a new case hopefully that changes management and you like your new case. other than that looks like a great build for gaming especially with all the new games coming in fall.

Any budget for the case? since your PSU isnt modular you may want a bigger case.

okay i put two more photos in there showing the cable management. and i bought the case in april when i didn't have as much money and i thought i was going to do a lower budget build. i will be upgrading to the corsair 600t as soon as i can though

How is wintecs RAM? I never see anyone buy it. The build looks great, nice job! But about the boot up, as rocks motherboards come with an Instant Boot program. It literally boots up in less than 5 seconds. There isn't even a bios screen. Maybe look into that

their ram is not very good. i mean it works and its ram but i had to overclock it to get it to 1600mhz and the heat sink fell off due to cheap glue holding it on. i will have to look into the instant boot program but how will i get into the bios without the bios screen?

you need to boot up the computer, then restart it. ( I can explain the instant boot process if you want, but it only works when you really turn it off. not for restart) Once you restart, you can see the bios

The outside look is amazing. You could say you have the most expensive case to someone who doesn't know much about pcs, and they would probably believe you! Otherwise it is a pretty solid build, besides the case which is still useable at least.

what do you think about the corsair k70 and the logitech g35 headset?

  • 3 points

well right now im waiting on the k70 to come out in cherry mx blues instead of reds so when they do come out in blues i will get them. (did i put in the build that i have a k70 my mistake ). and the headset you saw in the photo was actually a logitech g930 which i think is awesome. my favorite feature of it is the scroll wheel on the side which is very useful. it also is extremely comfortable and the cherry on the top is that i got it on a deal on ebay for 75 dollars. the mic on it is also very good for skype and it has okay sound quality.

Can't wait for bf4, Eq-Next and GTA5. Yeah, that case is pretty ugly, but if you don't have a color scheme I always recommend the thor v2. Huge case, fantastic airflow, great features and durable. Just be prepared to lug around 20-30 pounds.

How is your power supply doing... Is it overheating or anything?

It is a great PSU. It has no bells and whistles but it has very high quality components, no coil whine, and I cant even hear it. I would strongly recommend it.

Yes I know, soon I will completely repost this build because I am getting a new case, a new monitor, and some new LED's. Paired with an awesome looking desk and a new camera and I think it will turn out very good.
