Description

Computer update as my 6 year old laptop wasn't really up to date. NH-L12 in the low profile mode works quite well with the SFX-L power supply. The included 120mm fan from the CPU cooler was used as a case fan. The CPU rarely ever goes up to 60 degrees, which I consider very good for a case this big.

Installing the GPU was a bit fiddly as the power connector was putting a small sideways load on the card. Bending the cable next to the connector solved the problem. With an open design cooler, the card does not go above 75C during long gaming sessions and the fans stay off during idle.

I have this case but inside is a motherboard running of an A/C adapter like a laptop. It actually works really well and fits the HDD I need for media storage when attached to the TV.

Hows your power supply? I have the same one and it makes terrible clicking noises.

There is some rippling noise but no clicking. If the computer is at the TV a couple of meters away I can barely hear it. If I'm at a desk I'm always wearing headphones.

Do you have the V1.0 or V2.0? There should be a sticker you can see on the unit itself or the box.

It's V1.1. Has there been a 2.0 model released?

Yeah it doesn't include the semi passive mode thats supposed to help stop the clicking noise of the fan motor when it starts up.

Did you ever get the 1060 and fit it in?

Yes I did, took around 5 days to get it shipped from Germany to Eastern Europe. The photos actually show it. Fits just fine, only the power connector at the top of the card was a bit fiddly to fit.
