Description

I didn't buy everything in one shot , did it little by little. i delidded the i7 4790k and put some CLU on both the die & IHS, with the beast of a air cooler i have i was able to go to 5ghz 24/7 stable but with 1.44 vcore lol.... passed prime 95 with max 82c on 1 core.... both of the 840 pros are on raid 0. i also swapped the stock fans the phanteks cooler had , to noctuas nf a14 3000rpm ones.... the monitor is overclocked to 112hz in 1440p and its a samsung pls panel , this is probably gonna be the sweet spot for me until 4k comes out with 120hz 4k monitors... picked the the klipsch promedia 2.1 speakers due to alot of people saying they are the best you can possibly buy as 2.1 is concerned, tried my best in cable management also....

5 GHz? Well done. That's the highest I've seen on air so far.

How much clearance do you have between the ram and cooler? Did you need to make any adjustments?

I'm planning on buying the same cooler, but I have sniper ram.

hmmm , it will probably fit but just barely , from the ram i have its like millimeters i am able to fit some fan cables in that gap , so maybe that will give you a idea... also there is a new cooler that is a kinda better then the one i have its called cryorig r1 ultimate , seen benchmarks and its like 3c's cooler probably the best air cooler as of 2015

You should mount one of the included fans with the Phanteks cooler as a 3rd fan, you know for ***** and giggles.

Thanks for that OP. You just convinced me to go with this motherboard. Couldn't find many reviews online but 5GHz on air..... wow. I was also going to go with EVGA G2 but at 750W in my case for i5-4690k (oc) and SLI GTX 970 in the future.
