Description

*This is my 24/7 machine , components are subject to change without notice.....a lot....ha.

*Primary use is gaming...Asseto Corsa , Metro series , BF series , etc. , 80+ game Steam drive.

*System has 5.1 Yamaha/Polk audio for movie viewing.

*32gb kit was not available when I bought the first pair of Corsair...no documentable problem

*Water tubes are quick connected for ease of disassembly.

*The Raven bench works well but a bit of fiddling to get the tubing into the res/pump and out again.

*most of the water cooling gear has been reused in a few different builds so weren't bought specifically for this one , but at the cost of quick connect fittings and such...

*added pics of VGA with the sli bridge that is on the system and I am considering flipping the 360 rad to move the quick connects to the other end , it was this way on an earlier version

For lack of description:

What is the purpose of your build?

What programs/games will you be using?

Why did you choose those components?

Did you encounter any problems during the build process?

What aesthetic theme were you going for throughout the build?

Are you happy with your purchases/ is there anything you would change? "

I don't know if he/she meant extreme, as in the Intel i7 Extreme Series of CPUs, or extreme as in "very great"

I dont think so, even if I am billionaire I wouldnt spent more than 2.5K on a computer for just playing http://pcpartpicker.com/b/CtL

Maybe If I had a different career, like a graphical designer, or those 3d animations, probably there I would need that kind of stuff.

This is one of, if not the best build I've seen on here. And are you cooling all that with just a 360 and 120mm rad, and what sli bridge is that?

  • 1 point

thanks for commenting...my temps seem to be well within tolerable under load...I believe that sli bridge was sold with any "geforce battle box" custom made system...I got it from a cat on ebay that had a couple brand new...it does set off the triple cards

That's the sexiest build I've seen in a long time. Why didn't you go with the 4960X and Ti's?

Ti's weren't out when I got the first 2 cards...so I got third to make up some of the difference

Sick build! The finished product looks sexy. Im jealous of your budget! this is what i would have done http://pcpartpicker.com/user/ItsSynth/saved/4nTl. Also the bus speed of your processor is 1866Mhz so its pointless buying ram at faster speeds the your processor bus.

  • 3 points

Buying ram of that spec should all be brought in one kit as to insure the best compatibility, and it will run at 2133 if you enable the XMP, Intel memory controllers are boss compared to AMD lol. but the rest looks good. +1 on the actual build.
