I switched to OSX about 9 years ago because of my work, but have recently changed jobs which will put me back in the realm of enterprise sys admin primarily on Windows and Unix.

This has sparked my interest in the world of PC building again and so I thought I'd give it a go.

My main uses for this machine will be creating VM dev and testing environments, some video encoding, and of course gaming.

Pros - The case is roomy, very well put together and utterly silent even under load. I know Haswell doesn't overclock that well, but I'm getting 4.2Ghz without any voltage changes and the temp doesn't go over 43c even when encoding video in handbrake using all cores.

Cons - The CPU cooler is massive, and quite difficult to fit - this may be me being a bit rusty, but this thing took me about half an hour to work out and get fitted - If I'm honest, I could have done with another pair of hands.

I think working with a heat sink of that size would be difficult for even a seasoned builder. Please post some pics of the inside.

As requested I've posted a couple of pics of the inside, sorry about the dodgy quality.

How did you end up attaching the cooler? Looking at getting the shadow rock 2 but the assembly seems daunting for a first time builder.
