Description

I have quite a bit of cool little things on this setup. I have a DVD read/write right in front of my keyboard along with a SD card reader in the slot under my PS4 and monitores. I have my PS4, most of my cans have either custom pads or they have detachable cable mods, the Scuf Vantage Custom for my PS4, and all of my favorite characters for the real Star Wars. Vader, Revan, Obi-Wan, Boba Fett, Han Solo. I have the really cool and rare Commander Shepard figure. I have powered USB hubs under my desk, a lot of art. I have my knives everywhere. Lighting, wall art. And then there's the build. It was a lot of fun and a lot of work to upgrade. I forgot my webcam too. It's the 2nd from the top Logitech... I think. It's a lot for some people but I like the style. My console setup is the Xbox One X, Xbox 360, PS3, and WiiU, and my 4k TV with a Visio 7.1 surround setup. I have tons of art and figures everywhere. My game room is a man cave and off limits to the kids and any women that don't want to game. I actually have other mice and boards too. I have the G502, UTechSmart Venus, Ducky mini, and Max Blackbird TKL. I also have Macbook Pro, and 3 PC laptops. And I have another PC but I'm giving it to one of the kids. I hope you dig the unique look.

Part Reviews

CPU Cooler

I love that you can change the physical color of it with the disks. It's cool and it's been working for years.

Motherboard

It works well but it's basically impossible to get Aura to work for this right now. But it's not a big deal. The M.2 slots are great.

Memory

Not much to say. Works well, looks cool.

Storage

This was a great starter SSD. I have yet to get the program to move my Windows to my M.2 but this works great for now.

Storage

Haven't used it much but it seems fine.

Storage

It's old and full but it's still kicking.

Storage

I love it. Right now, SSDs are better but when I got this, it was the best for the money.

Video Card

This thing is a beast of a card. It's both huge and works great. I run 3 monitors and the games look fantastic on my 1440p monitor.

Case

I love this case. The door is so awesome for cleaning the dust out. All cases should use a door instead of a panel.

Power Supply

Great. And I love the custom cables I got for it.

Monitor

This was my main gaming monitor for years. It's great. If you want a 24" monitor for fast gaming, this is the one to get.

Monitor

So far, I'm loving the 1440p and it has great colors once you calibrate it. And, the viewing angles are strangely great for a TN. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the ghosting. But, it's only on text when scrolling.

Keyboard

It's actually the MX blue and RGB and I have custom PBT caps on it was a wooden space bar and some artisan caps. I love it though.

Mouse

One of the best mouses ever made. If you like using a mouse instead of your board for most inputs in games, this is the mouse to get.

Headphones

Warm, great sound.

Headphones

They are good for a cheap pair of cans. I have Sony studio pads on mine and they actually sound good.

Headphones

I made custom angled pads for these and they are really comfortable.

Headphones

Not a fan of all the wires but they are the older ones. They sound good though.

Headphones

It you like audio, you need these in your collection.

Headphones

Custom detachable cable mod but these sound like $400 cans.

Speakers

Great 2.1 setup for a good price. They look really nice too.

Thank you. I like it. Is that build of yours going to be completed? It seems like a nice setup for the price. And going with AMD these days isn't a bad idea. It'll save you money.

I dig it. I love the air cooler. I'm not as fond of air cooling it's a really nice one that still looks sick. You need a bigger desk though. And just my opinion, you should go to a site like Wallhaven and get some wallpapers that match your color scheme. But it's really nice as a build. I skipped the 1000 series but I hear the 1070 is nice. I have dual 970s in SLI (look up Dark Jedi to see my old build) and then I went right to the RTX 2080. I use an i7 8700k instead of the newer i7s because they took out hyper-threading from them. So, they are basically beefed up i5s. They have more cores but still, taking away hyper-threading was bull..... So, I went with the i7 8700k. I was going to get the i9 but they are REALLY expensive for a CPU.

Yeah. That's not my permanent desk, still trying to find the right one. As for wallpapers, I don't care too much but I might look into it. I agree about the hyper threading, I bet intel figured they could suck more $$ out of the consumers by reserving it for the high-end stuff.

Yeah. My i7 8700k is better than the "higher end" i7 that make now. Basically, the i7 became the i5, the i5 became the i3, and the new i3 is a completely new thing along with the i9. Just a suggestion, don't get an Ikea desk. Everyone gets them because they look cool, you can customize them, but they suck. They are basically made of particle board. You know, the stuff that $30 coffee tables are made of that you can break just by looking at it? That's why a lot of the setups that use them have to build them with a leg in the middle because they sag. Get a real desk. My desk was like $300 at an antique and specialty place. It's from the 80s. Where my keyboard and mouse are is actually meant for one of the keyboard and trackballs from back then. That's why I use a 60% board.

Thank you. I have an odd setup but I like it because it's unique. Not a lot of people have a setup like mine. even if it's not the most expensive (although it's not cheap), it's not like everyone else's. Thanks again.
