Description

This is the build I am currently running for gaming and productivity. Note: 1. In hindsight, I would choose the 3600 and a different Motherboard. 2. I haven't been able to run this system stable with XMP profile turned on. I have manually clocked the memory to 3000mhz and voltage to 1.25 and it is stable.

Your title says "Pre-Black Friday 2019," does that mean that you are going to upgrade when Black Friday deals hit? In my opinion, you are set for a good while. Nice build, kinda jealous!

No I'm definitely done spending lol. I put that in case prices change and it's no longer $1300. ❤️

I'm actually debating 2700x vs 3600. Why do you prefer the 3600? (working on my first build)

2700x has a higher power draw so you use more electricity and that also mean you have to bump up your power supply wattage. Also I've had problems with ram support for the 2700x in my experience, 3000mhz is the fastest ram that work with the setup I have. But those are tiny details still love my 2700x it's a beast.

Thanks for the follow-up! I inherited a friend's 1200w power supply so I think I'll be safe with it until I decide on a smaller build or it just wears out. Sounds like I'll have some RAM tweaking to do when all my BF purchases get in but glad to hear you're still happy overall.

Thanks again and Happy Holidays!
