Description

This computer was built mainly for maxing out 1080p and light 4k gaming. Along with gaming, I wanted the ability to multitask, and have the computer (and all the peripherals) continue to perform well for the next 3.5 - 4 years. Got a few components as birthday and Christmas gifts. Overall an amazing computer.

Only difficulties I had were installing the SSD into the S340. Had to turn it on its side to have the cable go from the SATA port to the SSD. Not a problem of the case or SSD, but with my installation procedure.

It should be noted that I have Amazon Prime.

Part Reviews

CPU

CPU - Received as a birthday/Christmas gift. The i5-6600k is an amazing processor, and though I haven't overclocked it yet , it handles every game well. Combined with a GTX 1070, I can max out The Witcher III with ultra settings on 1080p with ~60 fps.

CPU Cooler

CPU Cooler - Hyper 212 Evo is one of the best CPU coolers for your money. Does it's job and keeps the CPU cool.

Motherboard

Motherboard - Bios very easy to use. Booted up Win. 10 easily. Haven't attempted overclocking with this board yet.

Storage

Very fast read & write speeds. Never used a SSD before, very happy with this one.

Storage

No problems with the hard drive. I mainly use this for larger games and general storage.

Video Card

Great card. Drivers were easy to set up. Originally didn't think that it had leds, but I was happily surprised when I found that it did. Came with some included swag, like stickers and posters, which was a good move on their part.

Case

Beautiful case. Easy cable management. Installation of the motherboard and PSU were simple.

Power Supply

Chose this PSU for future expansion. Glad that I chose a semi-modular PSU. Plugging in cables was easy.

Operating System

Much better than Win. 8, and personally, I believe that its better than Win. 7.

Monitor

Great monitor. Stand is sturdy and I haven't experienced any dead pixels.

Keyboard

Best keyboard that I've ever used. A huge upgrade from that of my laptop. Couldn't be happier with my purchase. Glad that software wasn't required to use it.

Mouse

Great mouse. Plug and play is a plus. Cool feature is the amount of programmable buttons on the mouse.

Headphones

Amazing headset. Everything sounds good. It fits perfectly on my head, and the adjustable headset is great to have.

Other

Does its job. It's an anti-static wrist strap.

Other

Considering that it's 720p and $20, its a great webcam.

Thanks! I did take more photos, but many didn't turn out very good. The constant motion of the fans made focusing difficult lol.
