Description

Hello Everyone, My name is Cory and I just finished building my first gaming focused computer (I will do other stuff on it) The name came from the 80's show Knight Rider. K.A.R.R was K.I.T.T's Evil brother and he also had a yellow scanner. The PC has a NZXT S340 Yellow. They only carried yellow for a short time and I was able to get one that was used for a short time. I ended up breaking some of the rules of PC building to be honest. I bought most of the parts at different times and put it together over probably 6 months. I am still waiting to get the yellow anti-vibration mounts but other than that I am done. As you may notice in the picture the MSI 970 Gaming motherboard is yellow when It is usually red, I used a yellow paint pen to paint the cooling fins and the red hasn't bled through. I still need to somehow make the red dragon badge under the GPU yellow though. Last the Nactua NF-F12 fans are the Linus Tech Tips Spatial addition fans. So basically this computer is always going to be a work in progress but the main build is finished. Tell me how I did in the comments but if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it. If you have read all way to here thank you for reading all of it.

A BUILD THAT ISN'T A TYPICAL COLOUR SCHEME!

THANK YOU 1+

Anyways, I absolutely the dual colour scheme that you're going for here. Some orange or amber LED fans would just sweeten the build. Overall it's a very sweet looking build, and hopefully you're happy with it :P

A BUILD THAT ISN'T A TYPICAL COLOUR SCHEME!

I hear that...although most motherboard manufactuers don't help matters..it's either white/black, red/black on the more expensive boards which most like going for lol

This build, with it's bright white lighting and black and yellow theme makes me think of hazard tape. The color coupled with the bright lighting it feels really ..."construction-y". This is pretty stellar looking and thank you for a non-popular color build.

Thanks everyone for not telling me im stupid like they do on Linus Tech Tips Fourm.

I have one thing to say. This build is way too expensive for the performance it gives. That PSU is overkill, 16GBS of ram is overkill, the price for those fans are overkill...

I planned to make that stuff overkill that way I can easily upgrade parts without having to upgrade others.

Yeah, I tend to agree. The PSU could be subbed for something that isn't nearly a hundred quid. Though this is good for me as a build as he's using a lot of parts (mobo/cpu/gpu) that I'm considering. What would you recommend switching out?

I really like those NZXT cases, the black and yellow theme is nice for it. You should take a few up-close pictures if possible. Or a lot.

Just saying, name the machine Hive or Scorpion. I'm partial to the latter.

I like the color scheme, +1. But you may want to double check your manual, it looks like your ram is in the wrong dimm slots.

Custom sleeve your cables with paracord

Since you're working with a modular PSU, I'd go with some custom cables similar to this design:

https://store.cablemod.com/configurator/#cfgload:577c06037adda2.28081897

A little pricey, but it would really help the design.

I am planning on doing that. I think it would look cool like that

Have you considered modding the LEDs on the graphics card? I'm unsure how easy/difficult it is for that particular card, but I think it would be a nice touch.

I love the color scheme, very original, I also love your choice of parts, I love the FX 6300, the only thing I would have done was used a different board, but that is just a matter of preference, I also love the case you used +1 from me :)

Nice build I gotta say and youre using a lot of parts I'm thinking of using too so that's some inspiration. Love the colour scheme too; very cool.
