Description

As the title describes its a worthy console killer at a cheap price. When I started planning this build I knew so little about PCs. So I went out and did my research and started making a few configs on here. I then went and made an account on toms hardware forums and asked questions on compatibility and how and what to do with things. At this point I was a proud subscriber to many tech channels like LinusTechTips and JayzTwoCents ect. I also was a member of the linus TechTips forums as well and i having 10 times the knowledge as i did before and started helping others who also were on the quest to build there first pcs ect, meanwhile i was saving my money to build mine. In the stage of saving my money I was looking at all of the beautiful builds people put up on here and finally after about a almost a year now i finally have my PC together and running, sure its no beast but it sure beats the current gen of consoles and there predecessors.

In the short time i have used this i am very impressed it can run games like war thunder, world of tanks and planet side 2 all at either max @ 60 FPS or at 1080 @ 60 FPS So i being im pressed went and got 3D Mark and ran some benchmarks on my machine and i got 5777 on fire strike and 15305 on Sky Diver. So thank you for reading all this and i am looking forward to hearing what you guys have to say.

I'm guessing your next upgrade is another RAM stick? 4GB isn't going to cut it. You did a great job of staying in your budget man.

You should definitely overclock that gpu. You will get a 5-10fps gain and the temps don't go over 70 for most r9 280s.

Im a little sketchy about OCing it atm but The OC mode on the MSI gaming app makes a real difference in gaming, also the highest temp i got on this is 60 but it is winter.

? The R9 280 can't handle 1080p better than consoles? You're a little out of touch with reality, buddy.

60 FPS all the way no matter what un less its BF4 then its a different story but the R9 280 is a very good card and in my experience its much better than a console in gaming it can run a 1440p monitor and games @ around 50 FPS

Depends on the game some run @ 720P 60FPS and some run @ 900 or 1080 at 30FPS so yeh. also you should consider the NEOS its such a nice case but make sure to have a modular PSU because cable management is awkward at the back. The MSI R9 280 over all is a really good GPU for the price.
