Description

Put this one together to replace an older build and to have some headroom for some gaming when I retire. Took advantage of some Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals to get all this (except graphics card and OS) for $860.48. Still haven’t committed to a graphics card yet. Open to suggestions in comments.

Bro - the Saitek Eclipse II & the Antec 900. I had them both a decade ago haha! Nice choice taking the 9600k. Match that with some 4000MHz ram and you've got a perfect computer for high frame rate competitive gaming (pubg, csgo etc - they benefit from high cpu IPC and ram speed more than most care to admit!)

Great build, kinda sucks that ryzen has extremely limited options when it comes to micro atx motherboards otherwise it would’ve been a much more better value for you. Imo you should skip the 1650 cause the whole low end nvidia/amd is hella sketchy to me I would recommend you go straight to a 2060 super cause it’s basically a 2070

Thanks for the recommendation on the card. Will definitely look into the 2060 super.

Happy retirement sir! I also say if you're using 1080p the 2060 Super would be a great match for the CPU. I bet it would last a long time and it is reasonably priced. 550w should be enough power too. Cheers!
