Description

I wanted to build a machine that would run smoothly when handling multiple applications such as the adobe programs, coding software, video editing software and streaming game sessions. I chose this particular build because i am using the quad channel ram, the hyperthreading six core processor for heavy work loads.

Nice build m8! The motherboard alone costs more that your GPU, which is a testament to it's quality and longevity. Enjoy! +1

This looks awesome! I am putting together an editing machine for a friend and I don't know much about video editing, but I know CPU power makes a big difference. Would you recommend the 6-core 5820K over the new Skylake 6700?

5820k for video editing the skylake is really meant for gaming it has 4 cores the 5820k has 6

Wooww! I`m building a machine just like that! I bought this week the Ronin case, i7-5820K, Asus X-99-A, EVGA Nex750W and next week I will buy the others components.

I have some questions relative to the video card. Good to see that Gigabyte 970 fits perfectly in that case, I was worried about it! Can you install drivers at the cage with this card? So, now, I have a doubt between G1 Gamming vs. Strix vs. Galax EXOC... don`t know if the extra space for the cage will be usefull.

Did you install any adicional fan to keep a good temperature inside the case? Have you ever measure the internal temp? The only diference to my build is that mine will not have the CPU Liquid cooler, will be an air cooling for it. Sorry to make too many questions (and for my uncouth english) but it will be important for my decision :) Cheers!

How is the ram working out?

I'm building a x99 system and I wanted to get the same Ripjaw V's you got, the 3200mhz ones.

I've been told Ripjaw V's wont work well x99 and to get trident Zs or Ripjaw 4s. Whats your experience?

Do you have all 32gb running at 3200mhz ok? thanks in advance

Cool build. But why not get an R9 390 instead of your GTX 970?

Anyways +1.

Hmm yeah he does have 1440p monitors, so that would help. But I suppose everyone has got their reasons. I mean power consumption and noise are significantly less in the 970.

very true about the graphics card it doesn't make that much noise!

He probably does have reasons.

After effects supports only Nvidia Cuda unfortunataly or else i would have went with an AMD GC.

Makes sense. But 3.5GB and .5GB isn't very future-proof.

True but I'm rarely going to use my PC for gaming.

Ok. Also overclocking your CPU would yield some performance benefits, especially in rendering.
